Ukraine v Russia War Thread
#1
Note:  Edited thread title on 4/12/22 & again on 1/29/23

I doubt it.  I am OPPOSED to sending troops.  I'm ok with providing some guns, medical supplies, food, and intelligence but, beyond that, I want nothing to do with Ukraine.

Get the European nations on board for sanctions and support.   No troops.   If things go sideways let AF drop some hints to back off.

No but we should make it clear to Russia it'll be Afghanistan all over again. We'll make sure they have arms for guerilla warfare and we'll push sanctions to the max. Probably sabotage their pipeline. Cut them off from international banking. Turn them into Iran on the international stage. IOW increase their expenses and stall their income. It has to be a full court press except for American lives.
We could send NATO troops from France and Germany, pretend they're really legitimate military partners in NATO.
The last part was a joke of course. NATO is a welfare program for the rich.

Does the Ukraine have any access to tactical nukes? Anyone know for sure? Putin might be biting off more than he can chew here.

So Russia did this BS in 2014.  They are doing it again now.  Yet it was Donald Trump that was in Putinâ€s pocket?   Confused

They will get slaughtered like they have been for years.

We aren't using nukes for Ukraine. Russia doesn't want to use them either.

If nukes are ever used again it'll be because they are stolen by a rogue regime or by Iran to start the final world war.

And no, I don't support sending a single drop of American blood to Ukraine. If they can't defend themselves with our hardware, firepower and intel, then we need to stay the f*ck outta there. If Europe doesn't want to defend their eastern flank, then that's on them.

Maybe a very unpopular opinion, but we need to be partnering with Russia as much as possible...once Russia and China fully unite (they're pretty close) the rest of the world are sitting ducks...

Yeah, just a thought.  Anyway, you know there is going to be a point in time when somebody will do the unthinkable and use a nuke on the opposition.  Knowing you're going to get slaughtered may be justification to use the big one (if you have a big one).

We have no reason to be meddling in Russian/Ukraine's affairs; especially after how they sided with Biden's boy. "By god, the son of a bitch did it".  Russia doesn't have to do anything because - as I mentioned years ago - it secured the Nord Stream II. That was the main objective other than keeping lethal weapon systems off its border. Not many here would be ok with Russia setting up lethal weapon systems on the Mexican side of Juarez.
DC is a symptom, not the cause. The cause is basic voter stupidity and economic ignorance.

This 100 times over.

This is Europe's problem not ours.

Sending troops to support NATO nations would be fine but not directly to Ukraine which that is what we are told by the news at this time. Want to hurt Russia. re-open the Keystone pipeline and remove all red tape from fracking again and become energy independent like we were under Trump.

Well said and I couldn't agree more.

By the way, it seems that Germany is all-in with Russia.  NATO is a joke.
