Did the coronavirus come from the Wuhan lab?

See Bama thats the problem with your line of thinking, oh ho hum it happened 17 months ago, who cares.

We care because covid madness caused so much turmoil in our society and it was mostly based on exaggerations and lies.

So I realize that for someone such as yourself, covid wasn't a big deal, you're an der gentleman who wasn't impacted by restrictions, because of where you live and the things that you do, but for many people their lives were flipped upside down.

We can never again allow our govt to enact such authoritarian measures upon us.

This particular Pfizer exec said that they did not test the efficacy of transmitting covid, she said it was because they had to do it too fast and didn't have the time to test it for that.

Then ever since they formed policy around it, it some states they forced you to show proof of vaccination to enter public spaces.

Many companies forced their employees to get it.

Many nations forced you to get it to travel there.

All to stop the spread, when the vaccine doesn't even do a very good job at doing and was never tested for it.

Thats the issue.

I didn't get that from what she said at all. And if that's what she meant it isn't accurate. Full trials were done and no additional testing would be done on any vaccine than what was done with their vaccine regardless of time. This is goofy stuff for the 'tards and what you're trying to take away from this is nonsensical and flat out silly. The vaccine worked fantastically well against the virus that existed at the time. Still works very well but the variants have been a challenge.

Local governments got their hands smacked almost immediately for overreach( no you canâ€t stop me from having drive in church)

state governments have the authority under our federalist system to enact stricter laws. Thatâ€s why you saw reasonability in Alabama, and most SE states, almost no enactments in SD, ND, Texas and Florida especially as it wore on, while states like Illinois, NY, Cali went full on nonsense. I donâ€t take on their pain because they voted in that nonsense.

the Feds basically handled global travel, implementing the roll outs of vaccines and manufacturing a ton of hot air. Like “mandates”. That was hot air designed to push people …..if you get pushed, thatâ€s your decision. Itâ€s not like they were going door to door dragging people out.

some corporations pushed mandates. Thatâ€s legal within an employment situation and is between employers and employees. Several friends are nurses and had mandates at work. They didnâ€t get stuck and never got reprimanded

I think many conflate all the individual issues and come up with some scenario where we almost hit totalitarianism. We didnâ€t. Not even close.

I had absolutely no problem with encouraging people to get the vaccine.  That was fine.  It was the moment Yackoff Sh1t for Brains thought he had the right to tell private business that they had to force their employees to get it is where, IMO anyway, the shark was ultimately jumped.  I wonder if there's still video of his Mussolini like decrees still out there, or if the boyz down at Google already wiped it all clean.

The best part of the 2 weeks to flatten the curve was the first 765 days or whatever it was.  Wink

Yes but I also recall the unvaccinated were "killing the vaccinated."  Which the fact that that went over the heads of the pop culture mouth breathers was pretty telling.  At that point what couldn't Joe and/or his friends tell us that we wouldn't believe?

The mania with it got crazy, and it gave birth to a lot of mania in the other direction as well.  When outdoor activities became banned in certain places a lot of people began to naturally pump the brakes and raise some eyebrows.  Then it almost became a cold war between the vaccinated and unvaccinated.  I'm just glad it's all mostly over.

I did see a chick at the gas station on Sunday night wearing a mask. This was a well spaced out Speedway. She wasn't near anyone. Just filling up gas and using a card... didn't even need to go inside. She looked confused like she just took a bong hit and was confused about how to pump gas. She was out there when I pulled in and she was out there when I left (and I had to wait in line inside the store and fill up a slurpee).

It is (was) bad in the US. In China I still have to show a health app multiple times daily that confirms I have had my required shots/boosters and I have had a nucleic acid test within 48 or 72 hours (depends upon local restrictions) to go to work, the mall, restaurants, subway, train, plane, enter our residential complex. So, consider yourself lucky. It can be worse, much worse.

For entertainment, check out a few YT videos of COVID Karen Karma. Itâ€s pretty entertaining. There are super Karenâ€s screaming their heads off about masks, pro and con.

What in the hell is going on?

#1 China is now going through its worst bout of cases since Spring of 2020 and they decide to both, increase the frequency of nucleic acid testing AND reduce the number of testing stations because they are worried people gathering in line for tests increases exposure. But now more people have to be in line at fewer stations.

#2 Our building owner sent out a message at 11pm last night that each company is restricted to only 5% of their staff coming into the office. 11pm??? After most people are already at home in bed! If they had told us at 5pm, we could have equipped our staff to take a work laptop home. Also, zero information on how long this will be. A day, a week, a month, a year? We have no idea how to plan to work from home.

video, wow
This video could have been taken in just about any Chinese city on the day they announced the closure. I know, Iâ€ve been there. I was in a grocery store on the day the Beijing district I live in was shutting down, exact same kind of scene, especially post Shanghai shutdown. People fighting for food. Itâ€s because they donâ€t know when they will get any more food. This is what the government is doing to their own people to continue their zero COVID policy.

A quarter of Americans don't think we should have removed restrictions and favor bringing them back, it's amazing.
