I don't quite understand why some people are completely comfortable with getting an annual flu shot, have taken fifty in their lifetimes; 3,4,5 doses of other vaccines but now suddenly they think it's the end of the world if an annual Coronavirus vaccine is recommended. I don't know, probably not, if I will get an annual Covid vaccination but there's nothing out of the ordinary about it in the slightest. In fact, if we followed the experts, this was predicted from day one and we can bitch and moan about it all we want, it's simply the nature of these viruses.

I wonder about that myself. I get annual flu shots and I did get "the jab" and 1 booster, thus far. I'm not sure if or when I'll bother getting another. It seems like the strains have diminished so much it isn't really any worse than a cold.

I think in pre-covid times people were more trusting of the governments. Post-covid not so much. All the flip-flopping and silencing made people not trust the governments these days.

It's so bad in the tri-state area that local tv ads are trying to make the government look good again. Not having much success though. One after another on par with all the Camp Lejeune and Mesothelioma commercials.

Never got a flu shot.  I either get the flu or I don't.  I either suffer the symptoms or I don't.  I don't know, people kill me with their attitudes like we're never supposed to get sick or something.  It's life.  Get a ####ing grip.  One of my brother's has been getting a flu shot since his early 50s.  I roll my eyes.  You're not 80.  The flu isn't going to kill you.    

Now obviously if you're in a category of people---like if you're 80---that can be greatly harmed due to other conditions, of course you get the shots. Thankfully I'm fortunate enough not to need 'em.  Which I would bet is roughly 80--90% of the population under 65.  Ya turn on your local TV news every winter and it's, oh my gosh it's the FLUUUUUUUU!!!!!!

Actually, this last Winter Flu season/RSV was early and bad, at least in Ohio. The one thing that can't be argued is that masking/social distancing/etc. prevented Flu/RSV and other disease transmission. Not that I'm in favor of those restrictions but they did certainly have an impact.

So masks did nearly nothing to stop the transmission of Covid, but they magically "prevented" Flu/RSV?

Please forgive the sane among us who have a very hard time believing much of this at this point.
