I just picked up the Book of Jasher mentioned in Joshua 10:13 and 2 Samuel 1:18. I havenâ€t started reading it yet.Â
Itâ€s been a while but Iâ€ve read the Book of Barnabas before also.Â
We know that Jude 1:6 and 2nd Peter 2:4 are references to 1 Enoch a well known book in Jesus day and thatâ€s itâ€s almost a certainty Christ read it as well.
1 Enoch speaks of what happened in the time of Genesis 6:1-4 and about the Nephilim. Iâ€ve been doing some studying of these things in Dr Michael Heiserâ€s book The Unseen Realm.Â
Has anyone reads any of these or other Non Canonical Books?

I havenâ€t. How are they structured? Chapter/verse? Or differently because they didnâ€t go thru that process in the 300â€s ?

I presume you are not including the Gnostic Gospels as that was considered as pure heresy from my upbringing. Also I presume not included is the Aquarian Gospel on the life of Christ. This one on particular is constantly cited by my wife's Buddha buddies on how they they Christ came to India to study Buddhism. I don't know how many times I've told them that I know of no Christian denomination that accepts this 'nonsense.'
Now you might include the Apocrypha since they are included within Catholicism.

If you start reading Non Canonical, just do a quick search on what is considered legit and studied by scholars. There is def some weird books out there.
1 Enoch is a wild book tho thatâ€s not surprising when youâ€re dealing with pre Flood Nephilim etc…But it is quoted by Peter and Jude, itâ€s certainly studied by scholars, and it was found among the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Thanks for the correct spelling in the OP. I have tried to search out information on the book of Jasher for a long time, but I was spelling it Josher, which yielded no results even though it is only a letter off.

What are the most noteworthy claims in those books?
