Didn't lrrps make the antenna with his digits? Doesn't that make it digital?
I made an antenna from Gray Hoverman specifications.

Does Gray Hoverman have specs for tin foil hats, I saw ComputerBuck is posting again. Or do we just use a Faraday cage, with a lock?

Digital has nothing to do with antennas. The tuner card in the tv has a connection to digital.Â
The FCC switched to reserve UHF channels. It used to be 14-69 then 14-51 then 14-36. UHF channels have been taken for GPS, Cell Phones, and Satellite technology.
We're currently in phases to convert ATSC 1.0 to ATSC 3.0.
Whenever the switch happened I tried out a regular antenna. Didn't work. Was a modern tv. I could be wrong, but I thought I recall seeing antennas specifically made for digital tv. Â
It was the tuner in the tv that didn't work. It had an analog tuner. The convertor boxes are digital. The radio waves are the same. It's the reception of the tuner that went from analog to digital. Take a paper clip, some coax cable and a balun hook it up to your tv and see if you get at least 1 station. I can guarantee the paper clip is not considered digital.Â
The phrases/words 'digital', HD' and '4k' are used to trick people into buying garbage antennas from China.
