Is there some sort of statute of limitations with this Durhams investigation or something?   People keep talking about running out the clock.

Been thinking the very same thing.  My guess/assumption is if Trump wins in 2024 it will be too late.

It won't matter who the next POTUS is...absolutely nothing is going to come from this aside from a nobody getting his pee-pee slapped publicly.

That same guy will pay his fine, do his community service, then cash in on the golden parachute they've already arranged for being the public fall-guy

Most federal crimes have a 5 year statute of limitations.  Depends on what the charges are.

Special Counsel John Durham is handing down a new set of subpoenas, including one targeting a law firm tied to Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.

The documents, which were issued earlier this month, come after Durham charged Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann with knowingly making false statements to the FBI.

The indictment against Sussman says he lied to FBI lawyer James Baker when he presented data linking the Trump organization to a secret server that communicated with Alfa Bank, which has ties to the Kremlin.



The indictment indicates Durham may be expanding his investigation to bring separate charges again Sussmann or additional defendants.

Though the secret server theory did not find its way in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report, Durham found discrepancies between Sussmann's congressional testimony and his interview with the FBI. Sussmann told Congress that he was working for Alfa Bank on a project but told the FBI he was not working for a specific client at the time.



At the same time, Perkins Coieâ€s internal billing records showed that Sussmann billed the Clinton campaign for the hours he worked on the Alfa Bank project. The law firm's clients also included the Democratic National Committee, while the firm also hired a research company that produced the dossier from Christopher Steele that accused then-candidate Donald Trump of being compromised by the Russian government.

Sussmann's attorneys say that the billing records from the Clinton campaign leave out important context, arguing that the lawyer joined his Alfa Bank work with the campaign for strictly documentation purposes.

I don't know why Scar.  None of the people who actually violated serious laws are going to be charged by Durham.  This was nothing but a 2.5 year boondoggle.

I am in this to get as much info out in the open as possible.  I want to hear what tech dorks were involved.  I want to hear which university was involved.  I want to see how high up the food chain this went.  I want to see what other topics this entails.  Mark Elias involved in this law firm.  The guy that cooked the election for Biden.  Etc...   I want these people to squirm at least a little

I wonder how much dubya's Patriot Act kick started all this political spying.  And many of us rubes thought they would only target the bad guys.  The swamp probably collectively rubbed one out once they heard of their new found power.  

As time goes by I really regret sticking up for dubya over stuff like WMD's and the Plame affair.  Of course his accusers were lower than dog sh1t, but still...  dubya has been nothing but a swamp rat defender since he left office.  Dubya was the epitome of LOTE.  Thank goodness Trump broke through and crushed the establishment paradigm

They have all your banking information already, they just have to jump through a hoop or two to access...all this new proposal does is remove the extra hoops.

I use a reasonably small community bank for most of my daily transactions, a savings account and a checking account. A few years ago the President of the bank calls me and asks me to meet him for lunch. I show up and it's basically just him warning me to be careful about the deposits and withdrawals I frequently make. He knows my business and how I make my money, but he wanted to warn me about all the red flags on my accounts.

Ostensibly, they care about drug dealers and other illicit activities but anyone making/spending large amounts of money is already really high on their radar.
