Tucker Carlson Claims the NSA is Monitoring His Communications ‘In an Attempt to Take This Show Off the Airâ€

Tucker Carlson claimed on Monday night that his communications are being monitored by the NSA “in an attempt to take this show off the air.”

Carlson told viewers a whistleblower from the U.S. government reached out to his show “to warn us that the NSA, the National Security Agency, is monitoring our electronic communications and is planning to leak them in an attempt to take this show off the air.”

“Now, thatâ€s a shocking claim, and ordinarily weâ€d be skeptical of it,” he continued.

Carlson told viewers that the evidence they have of this is that “the whistleblower, who is in a position to know, repeated back to us information about a story that we are working on that could have only come directly from my texts and emails, thereâ€s no other possible source for that information, period.”

He continued on to say “spying on opposition journalists is incompatible with democracy” and that “they are definitely doing it to us.”

“This is scary and we need to stop it right away,” Carlson added.

His commentary almost immediately received skepticism and mockery:

We already know that type of activity took place under Obama.  This is one of the least surprising things Tucker has ever said knowing what we know now about the intel people.

Folks think he's probably telling the truth, without a doubt, simply because it fits what they HOPE is the case, not because there is any evidence for it. He made an allegation, based on extremely thin "evdence", if one graciously calls it that.

Is he in the habit of making such blatantly false allegations?  Can you list some of them?

Who would actually hope that was the case.?  Not doubting it just goes to what has been done to others over the last 12 years . I'm betting the list of Democratic, FBI and DOJ missteps infringing on , lying and breaking the law to slander American people is much longer than Tucker making a baseless as you see it claim.

Go back thru the 340 threads titles just on this board and start writing down those examples or claims and i bet you get writers cramp .

This would seem to be a crossroads for Tucker. To make this claim.....either he can make his claim proven true thru the FOIA and MDR requests, and will be proven right......or this will fizzle and he will be lambasted and ridiculed for it, losing esteem and position.

Taking the steps of issuing FOIA requests, etc......puts him out there.

No longer GroupThink 'woke'.  but it was fun while it lasted.

Obviously, texts and emails have receipients, who can of course divulge the information to others, if you want a simple alternative explanation. Or perhaps NSA somehow wants him off the air and is illegally monitoring his emails and texts.

I wouldn't even call it hope. Once you get to the point, as HT, davebucknut, K9buck and others have, that you're convinced that ALL Democrats are the enemy, are out to implement socialism, destroy the Republican party along with the country, the hard work is done.  Now legitimate news outlets are dismissed off-hand and outlets like OAN and Gateway Pundit become "legitimate" because they are all reinforcing what you've been conditioned to know as truth.

If Tucker's show is still on the air in 10 years it won't be because his anonymous whistleblower was wrong or Tucker is just crazy, it'll be because the government couldn't take Tucker off the air BECAUSE the anonymous whistleblower exposed the truth and it would be too obvious if Tucker's show was cancelled.

I'm not sure there is any such thing as a legitimate news outlet in the US at this time.

Folks who want to whine and moan all the time about "liberals" HOPE this is the case, it's another example of how LIBERALS are trashing the country.

Confirmation bias.

Another possibility is a competing network has "bugged" his emails, or broken into them, that isn't hard to believe.  Or some hacker has done it, and sold info to CNN et al.

My guess is NSA is a bit busy to worry about the ever self important Tucker Carlson.

You actually believe any of that?  Good grief.
