A newborn, by any reasonable moral and ethical standard, should be held accountt for what they do as a newborn, much less what people did thousands of years ago. It is only thatbway because your God deemed it to be so, not because it HAS to be  your God designed the rules to punish children.
The inherited sin nature is why actual sin is committed. The problem is you and in fact most Christians don't have a clue about sin and the nature of sin. As the Bible clearly says, even the very best things we do are still nothing but sin in God's eyes. Morality and human good works does not mean absence of sin. Christianity has been dumbed down in order to make God more human and rational.
Again, your God made the rule that a newborn child, who was never given a chance to be exposed to christianity, is not safe but punished for all eternity.
Everything that is, or is not, is his will and his design.
And people like you attempt to put yourself at the level of God so you can sit in judgement of his actions which you could not understand even if explained to you.
You don't have to believe you're a God to have an opinion on what is or isn't moral.
What you do is nothing new. Humans have been questioning God from the very beginning. Once again, morality is not a remedy for sin.

They still would not have the ability to believe in God.
Baptism for children is a source of faith.
I don't care how much water you drizzle on a baby's head, it is not going to give them the ability to understand and believe in the Christian God.

The Bible is very clear that you need to believe in the Christian God in order to be saved. Do you believe that any child is able to understand the concept of the Christian God in a way that would allow them to believe?

The Bible is very clear that you are justified by faith.
