The race issue is not so much about pride as acknowledgment of reality.  Hobbling whites in America in order to give advantages to non-whites has already proven to be a disaster.  Now we have moved to making hatred of whites desirable and part of official government policy.  This is idiotic and dangerous.  While separation would be desirable, most of us would accept completely getting the government out of the race business and letting the chips fall where they may.  What we have now is going to be a total train wreck as lower IQ incompetent people are arbitrarily raised up and more intelligent people punished for no reason other than their skin color.  End the race lunacy and embrace reality.

Iâ€ve literally never been hindered by my race. My poor White trash family, full of wastes of oxygen have hindered me greatly.

You would not realize it if you were, nor would you admit it. Regardless, your comment is meaningless to the vast number of whites who have been discriminated against and those who have suffered as a result.  Further, we have the idiocy of political correctness on top of affirmative action whereby incompetent or destructive black people like Barack Obama are not even allowed to be criticized without someone playing the inevitable race card.  As I said, embracing reality should be the goal.  I am not even sure someone like you has the ability to do that.

Your whole response smells of excuses for personal failures.  I know affirmative action made it tough for some.  But, I wonâ€t put that at a large number.  Be accountable.  Own your failures.

Just to be clear you agree that blacks and whites should be given different standards since most blacks cannot successfully compete in terms of education and jobs?

So you agree affirmative action and other race advocacy measures by government should be eliminated regardless of how you perceive the number of people it affects.

I would like to ask why you/we don't identify as white? 
We (as a fellow white male) seem to be the only ones who cant have racial pride or identity.  I dont often think of myself as white either, but why not?  Everyone else seems to identify primarily with their race/color, why dont whites do it?

If you describe me Iâ€m a tall, bald, white guy.  Thatâ€s what I am. But, Iâ€ve never had to think about my race in positive or negative.  Itâ€s never hindered me. I suppose I could find ways it helped me, but, thatâ€s a pointless exercise.  I donâ€t feel any kind of kinship with anyone because theyâ€re white.  I have nieces and nephews that are biracial.  Iâ€ll kill a person before I let someone do them harm. When I was an athlete, team is all that mattered. As a coach, Iâ€d play anyone that helped me win.

I also had a psychopath father that who was as racist as anyone Iâ€ve come across. Since I decided he was the worst human I have ever met, I do most everything opposite of him to resounding success.

Call it brainwashing. Call it lack of pride(not sure why thatâ€s a thing).  My individual effort has put me where I am today more so than the color of my skin. 

Bottom line, I donâ€t care about the color of my skin as it isnâ€t part of who I am.

I appreciate the response, and understand completely your point of view.  Beyond your own personal label, why do you think white people in general dont identify with their race like everyone else?   Or arent allowed to without consequences?  I think alot of whites would feel very sheepish about saying that they are proud to be white.  That shouldn't be a bad thing, but is.  Why?

First I donâ€t know why anyone would want to be proud of something that isnâ€t within their control.  Donâ€t feel shame for it either. I can only surmise an answer. Europeans believed in cultural superiority, but had a large nationalistic pride. Even as this country was developing, it was about the struggles of the Irish, Germans,Italians, Poles, Slavs etc. There was more emphasis on that. So heritage was more ethnic and could be traced.  The various ethnic festivals that occur each year would be evidence.

If I were to trace the history of African Americans , some donâ€t have that heritage. Theyâ€re assigned a giant continent and lumped together.  The communal aspect of slavery and the culture that developed was pretty much what many can trace back to.

Im not sure if there was ever a white heritage that could be traced to be inclusive in history.
