K9BuckIf you suffer from asthma, wearing a mask might be better for you

Dave and math.
I'd say the majority I see are wearing the mask ineffectively. Either gaiter or scarf type things that don't work or the mask hanging loosely, wrapped around their chin, and the always classic under the nose.  And then the pathetic wanna be Patrick Henrys walking about hoping to be confronted because they won't wear one.
No one knows for sure how much masking and distancing helped but we pushed the limits and then some in the ICUs and people definitely died that didn't need to and so I wouldn't have wanted a lot more cases.

I've worn the mask now as required by Ohio health emergency and request by DeWine etc. for a year or so.  I've been vaccinated.   At some point we have to release this mandate due to the vaccine available and knuckleheads who won't take it.  It is now on them to wear the mask.  Don't want to be vaccinated?  You wear it.  Life needs to get back to normal.  Also, what good is it when the knuckleheads wear it wrong?  The county I live in had ONE case yesterday out of 100,000 people.  No one in the hospital for COVID and no deaths in weeks and weeks.  It's time.

The only reason why big businesses force people to wear them is because the majority of Americans want everyone to wear them, so they're following their wishes, but as soon as it flips to the majority of Americans to not want to wear them, they'll go away.

I don't wear one unless forced to wear one, because they are worthless and possibly worse for the wearer.

So, a store has a sign saying they require masks. Is that good enough? Or do you need to be told by an employee?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Most stores also have a "no firearms allowed" sign up too, but I also routinely ignore it, because those aren't laws they're requests.

Good to know. Still donâ€t live in fear. I feel sorry for the employees. They have been attacked for trying to enforce company policy. We had a guy stab a Jack in the Box employee for requesting someone use a mask. White guy perp for those keeping score.

No, because those signs will remain on many for years to come, because virtue signaling and pandering to the lowest common denominator is always more important than common sense.

Trust me George in 20 years you'll still see large segments of people (most of which will vote D) who will wear them for the rest of their lives.

Do you agree that a large segment of society will likely wear them for many years after covid is over?

This is kind of the point with my T.I.C. post about masks. I get my 2nd vaccine dose on Sunday. Then, as far as I'm concerned, I am DONE with these effing masks! Done, I'm sick of this crap.

I'll still do the social distancing stuff (I don't like being close to people anyway lol). But I'm finished wearing a freaking diaper over my face. As Ron DeSantis said, I'll be immune, so I will start acting like I'm immune.

Not at all. Not even considering it as a valid outcome. Covid never being over is more of a threat and concern for me. 100% open needs to happen by August.

The mandates will go. Start of summer at the latest IMO. They're fading now. Some businesses may require them like airlines or something like that with crowded spaces.
The last will likely be clinics and hospitals. Most docs aren't delicate little flowers though and aren't burdened by PPE in any way and actually have the ability to put one on right. It'll be mainly to protect frail patients.
There will be vaccine requirements in some industries and locations once full FDA authorization is given. Dorms, healthcare, cruise ships and the like. No gummint mandates unless you place schools in that category.

Our mask mandate expired 10 days ago. Some businesses still have the signs up. People are complying at probably a 75% rate.

We wear a mask when there's a sign on the door. Although I probably don't wear mine correctly.

No longer GroupThink 'woke'.  but it was fun while it lasted.
