These days the only thing I read about military history are AARs.
DC is a symptom, not the cause. The cause is basic voter stupidity and economic ignorance.

If you like WW2, anything by Antony Beevor I highly recommend. Some of the best WW2 books Ive ever read. They are captivating.

THe Warrior Generals by Thomas Buell is also a great read on Civil War generals. HE really eschews conventional thinking and ideas and makes a convincing case for his thesis.

Iâ€d start with Siege of Stalingrad by him.  Also, Fall of Berlin 1945 was fascinating to see the City and nazi regime collapse.
