People who drag their feet when they walk.

It makes you look lazy, and it messes up your shoes.

Backing out of a spot with large trucks and/or SUVs on both sides of you is a recipe for disaster.  It's another great reason to back into a spot.  (on rare, hilarious occasions you'll see 2 cars backing out of their spot almost right into each other)

Again though, I only back in when the situation allows it

I back in at work. It's easier to line up a full sized truck backing in. Nobody has to wait. I back in sometimes elsewhere if backing is easier but I wouldn't do it with cars behind me. Basically it's possible to be considerate either way.

It's easy to be considerate when backing out. And even if a car has to wait a bit while you exit the spot, they can grab your spot after you're gone.

People backing in is only bad when they don't know how to drive and that is a lot of people.  The way people drive now in parking lots I can understand why people do it though.  You can't watch 5 different directions at once trying to back out with idiots flying past you trying to cut around you as you are backing out.  When I need to go shopping I just go early when it's not crowded and avoid the mess of dealing with people.

I know this is an oldie but a goodie, but people camped out in the left lane of a multi lane highway going too slow and holding up traffic.  Weâ€re talking full blown mental disorder here.  Is it some sort of sick power play?  Why?  Why?  WHY???

Same. When itâ€s clear I back in, makes it much safer backing out. In China 90% of people back in, so itâ€s expected, and thus, most people are pretty tolerant of it.

As to shopping in a mall, I treat it like a military mission, I have clear objectives, I get in early, move fast, and get out. If all goes well, no one gets hurt.

My pet peeve shopping is two older fat chicks walking next to each other, gabbing mindlessly, and oblivious to the fact that they are taking up the entire aisle making it impossible to get around them. And even when you say “excuse me,” they get all huffy.

Yup.  In and out as fast as possible.  I move fast.  Like a precision tactical strike at dawn.  I don't look around for things to buy.  I have a mental list before I go in and seldom buy anything else.

That's guy shopping. I know the entrance near what I want and where the item is. I go in directly to the item(s) make my purchase and exit. If they don't have the item -exit. I do not "shop". I purchase.

Exception noted and agree. Allowances can be made for Home Depot as well.

It takes WAY more effort to back into a spot than to back out of it. And it slows down other cars and is just inconsiderate. Today, I saw this young punk take three attempts to back into a spot off the street (not parallel park, but a spot perpendicular to the road). Meanwhile around 6 cars were brought to a halt waiting for this half wit to finish the task. This is a dick move done by arrogant pricks (other than those of you on the board reading this who I like).

I'll bet ANYTHING pitchblack backs into parking spots. He's just that kind of dude.
I back in because I can see easier backing into a spot and I can backing out of a spot.

I mentioned a while back that one day on my lunch break I was sitting in a restaurant and this older woman decides to have a phone conversation on her speaker phone.  I could NOT believe it.  I never thought I would see it topped until...  until the day I was in the drive thru line at MacDonalds a couple weeks ago.  Lady in front of me.  Windows down.  Phone conversation on speaker phone WHILE AT THE MIC to place her order!  I was waiting for the dueling broads between the speaker phone and the menu speaker, but the woman driving actually did finally turn down the speaker phone when she started to place her order.  I gotta say, I was sort of hoping she would have let the speaker phone go on.  I wanted to hear the cluster #### of confusion by the girl taking the order.  THAT close to a classic moment.  Dayum!   Big Grin
