A question for jacket or Cincy dawg-would you guys agree with the phone company or the electric company refusing service to customers they disagree with politically? Are you cool with book burning as long as you donâ€t like the books getting the torch? It seems to me like you are quite willing to tolerate the banning of viewpoints that you disagree with. I think Alex Jones is a crazed twit, but the Constitution protects ALL viewpoints, not just ones you agree with.
Nothing has been banned. Nothing has been burned. Nobody has been told they can't speak.
LOL tell that to Gina Carano or the numerous Republican Congressmen that were shadow-banned by your leftist comrades.

A guy was fired from a good job because he said all lives matter. People are afraid to voice opinions not considered acceptable by the woke mob. That isn't healthy. And it will lead to backlash and likely even violence. So speaking out and complaining is reasonable and should be done. No sense in waiting until it's too late.
A Virginia teacher was fired because he refused to parrot the proper pronouns. He was supposed to call a transgender man "he" and the teacher refused. So, not only does the left ban speech, but they also force people to say things that they know are untrue.
Im saying this as a teacher, as a profession we donâ€t have freedom of speech. Itâ€s just the way it is. If the community loses faith in your ability to be effective in the classroom, you will lose your job. My city has all backgrounds, Republican and Democrat. I canâ€t risk angering even one overly active mother.Â
So if a 15-year-old student "identifies" as being 21, you agree that society must recognize their claim, correct? After all, we must be sensitive to the student's feelings and not tell them the truth, correct?

30--60 years ago liberals would say "...I may disagree with you, but I'll fight for your right to say it..." Today many liberals are just fine with shutting you up. 30--60 years ago a lot of conservatives knew what was right and wrong and wanted to eliminate some aspects of free speech "for your own good." Yuge mistake. Not that porn, etc... is "good," but that adults should be free to make their own decisions. Nothing wrong with a preacher making his case, but ya gotta allow other adults to make their case/decision too. Â
I sense a constitutional reawakening forming in the US, especially in regards to the Bill of Rights. Of course these things tend to happen when a group(s) try to take your rights away. In the 60's they marched for freedom. Today they riot to restict rights. I don't get it.
Liberals still say "I will defend your right to say it", sadly we are not dealing with liberals we are dealing with leftist.

Hey, if you want to regulate internet-based speech as a utility all the more power to you. The Obama administration tried to do that, but Trump rolled that back.
I never once advocated for banning viewpoints. I just don't really have an issue with Twitter or Facebook saying, "We're not going to serve you." Just as I don't have an issue with Random House saying, "These five Dr Seuss SKUs don't sell, and they're pretty racist. They're from early on in Theo's writing career, which he said he regrets. Let's stop producing them."
Nothing has been banned. Nothing has been burned. Nobody has been told they can't speak. So you are fine with signs on restaurants that say "sorry we don't serve colored's here? Or white folks only? Or we will not hire the disabled?  Wow.

My favorite holiday other than Christmas. I would hope nobody else appropriates my culture. I couldn't imagine any other cultures wearing green and having a fun day, it just makes me want to go crazy.Â
It's racist for you to eat or drink anything mentioned above. You better not eat or drink anything I mentioned above if you are not Irish. I now take offense to the Irish potato and drinking. Don't mock us Mick's.

When did his free speech get taken away? January 7. Have you been in a cave?
Last I heard his speech wasn't restricted. He certainly said what he wanted at CPAC, and it was broadcast pretty widely. Did I miss something?
Oh, but two companies did decide they didn't want to offer their services to him. That did happen. Haha, they wouldn't "offer their services to him." You libs really have a way with words. Masters of manipulating the English language to distort messages. Lemme guess....you don't believe in "aborting unborn babies," instead you support a "woman's right to choose?" This reminds me of an argument between a staffer for Ted Kennedy and a reporter. The reporter asked the staffer about Kennedy killing that woman in Chappaquiddick Lake and the staffer was all sort of pissed and said it wasn't a lake it was a bay!
