Blinky1970s Hard Rock / Heavy Metal
#1
None of that wimpy make out music here, give me something with a little bit of a bite to it.

Black Sabbath, Kiss, AC/DC... something in that vein. Kickass rocking songs though, not the sissy power ballads.

Go!

Beastdog, go ahead and gimme your heaviest, most kickass Hendrix songs, even though they predate the target era.

But nothing from the 80s... please.....

they only thing worse than heavy/hard/death metal is rap. And the difference isn't that great.

No longer GroupThink 'woke'.  but it was fun while it lasted.

Blinky, can we post a great cover of a 70s metal classic, or did it have to be recorded in the 70s?

Sure.

You can include two videos in each post so if you don't mind, post both the original and the cover together at the same time.

Hey, good idea! So here is maybe the most iconic of all metal songs. The original, plus an incredible live cover. I prefer the cover, of course, as it is performed my favorite musician, better drums, and it ends with a nice tribute to the G.O.A.T.

But the original was pretty good, too.
