So you are related to 3rd. Disco, Wham, musicals....
Yes, 3G and I are 10th cousins 4 times removed. As far as disco, wham and musicals....no, I like music
Whoa, are you telling me that you are rejecting Wham, Boy George and Michael Franks. Blasphemous!

Whoops, you are correct, I was wrong. It is the Civet Cat poop from which the coffee beans are "harvested." A person in our office vacationed in Indonesia (I think) and brought back Civet Cat poop coffee. No one was brave enough to try it.

I will stand on my lack of beer drinking(or anything alcoholic for that matter) and my tea drinking. I will not cop to liking that music. Itâ€s a travesty

I had to look up Michael Franks. Never ever heard of him. Played a couple of tunes on youtube. Kind of generic and wimpy. But still considering how many albums over that period surprised I hadn't an inkling of his existence.

I had a GF at the time who thought his song Popsicle Toes was the highlight of musical accomplishment, back when we still had 45â€s. I thought then, and still to this day over 40 years later, that it represented the nadir of music. That chick didnâ€t last long. But Iâ€ll admit, other than her taste in music, she was fun to be around.

OK, Iâ€ll have to come out of the closet, Iâ€m not a fan of their music. I was into Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin and such. Although I will cop to liking The Waitresses in the 80â€s.

there's enough 80's music that I DID like to have hosers like DKeener get their kicks off of, but I'm not copping to liking WHAM. And on the topic, what's with their song being played during December? Just because it mentions Christmas, doesn't make it a Christmas song....

Is this what the scientists at Pfizer and Moderna telling us now. Sophisticated and highly intellectual people like me know the true superior beverage is tea.

You can imagine hopefully what is was like in colonial days or before and after till commercial drinks arrived.  Tea, rum, coffee, water, cider, beer,...and no way to get it cold with ice.  The water was not good and could kill.  Tea was preferred till the revolution and coffee became popular.  Boiling water or from well helped this be safer.  Alcohol in rum, whiskey, beer, were all drunk good bit.  Cider was available but limited in market unless you lived on apple orchard.

I was at Monticello years ago and the wealthy had underground round unit for ice from frozen ponds stored up to last the summer.  Big round storage stone lined with heavy lid in shade of home.   Needed it for drinks and to make ice cream.

My dad said on the farm they had an ice cellar. In the winter they would cut blocks of ice from the creek and then use the mules to drag the blocks to the ice cellar on a skid. They would layer the ice with straw. He said the ice would last until about mid-July. Once his older brothers left for WWII, they stopped doing it. It was just him and his dad to care for the farm and they didn't have time for any of the niceties like ice anymore.
