Sin happens to everyone and yes, even to pastors.
We'll see how he bounces back.
King David come to mind?  I don't fault anyone for sinning.  I fault them after their response to sinning if not appropriate.

This is one (of many) reason that Scripture is true. It always states the truth, even about its heroes. 
King David - murderer, adulterer- called a man after Gods own heart because of his humility and trust in the Father. He confesses his sin, truly repents and asks for forgiveness in Psalms 51.
If the scriptures were not true, every hero would be a complete saint with no hint of wrongdoing, instead of being a shown for who they really were, flawed and failed humans seeking a relationship with the Father.

Actually, itâ€s what makes the stories so compelling. I think of leaders from the last few hundred years and some countries posit them as infallible demigods. Iâ€m glad our country recognizes the complexity and heroism of people like Washington and Jefferson. Well, at least most of us do.

Carl Lentz was recently(like within the last month) fired from Hillsong NYC for having sexual relationships outside of his marriage. 

It's always interesting to watch these guys when they are caught in sin.  How they respond, what direction they head.

He should have been removed from leadership a few years ago when Hillsong had to force him to say that marriage was between one man/one woman. It was apparent then that his beliefs didnâ€t align with scripture.

I agree.  I get a sense that Hillsong has long tried to toe too close of a line between the world and the church though, so in that regard it isn't surprising.
