Lefty QB throws a TD. Announcer (I think it's Tim Brando) "he has to make sure to get his shoulders square like Steve Young"... does that change for a righty QB? Why?Â
I really have no bias as I throw lefty and write righty.

Maybe he was just saying it because SY was a lefty? Kind of like how every white WR was always compared to Wes Welker, whether or not he had a similar skill set, body type or not?
In other words, ALL QBs should get their feet and shoulders properly set up, righty or lefty. Steve Young just worked better for that situation.

I guess I just don't like the thought "all lefty's need to be compared". I can't stand "you have a great swing" in golf just because I now play lefty. I have an inordinate amount of friends who also play golf lefty... for the most part, their swings are terrible.
Aren't you a southpaw too Scarlet IIRC?

Yes I am. Pretty much do everything left except bat and hit a golf ball. Both right handed. Heck I even kick with my left foot.

I should have been a switch hitter when I played baseball. I did switch from righty to lefty in golf. (insert the joke ((not you scarlet)). I won't be surprised if someone does it...

I actually tried hitting lefty for a while in little league. Was probably around 11 or 12. I had a harder time staying on the ball. Probably could generate maybe a little more power, but I had a tougher time making overall contact. I quickly went back to batting right. As for golfing left, I tried it at a driving range once. I think the majority of my shots went completely horizontal from the tee. I gave up that dream rather quickly. Â

I really have no bias as I throw lefty and write righty. Both lefties and righties need to do this. Just like both do in shooting a b-ball.Â
By the way, I throw righty and write lefty. I was a natural left as a young yout but my dad taught me to play righty. With my brother he left him be lefty all the way.Â
I†m like Scarlet batting lefty, probably would have had more power, but by the time I was 11, it was too late. I have played tennis both ways, I suck equally well either left or right handed.

At you China. Tennis is one of the few sports I do play righty, although I do have a hard backhand (double) because that's how I swung the bat.
I can play lefty, just really can't serve lefty.

I can play lefty, just really can't serve lefty. I couldn't serve for nothing lefty. So even when I played lefty, I still had to serve righty. And when I played lefty for my backhanded shot, well, let me just give you the play call. " ChinaBuck gets a clean cut at the ball with his backhand, it's a long fly ball, going, going, and it's outta here!!! ChinaBuck just went deep to left center off of Susie Smith's serve. Susie won't be serving up pitches like that dead over the plate again next time."

I was trying to get rid of it, I never realized how rare those are. I'll probably never give that up
