I heard 2 conflicting reports.
One report was the player was testing negative yet symptomatic and he practiced.
The other report says FSU called them to cancel because they knew this kid from Clemson was sick and FSU insisted they knew he was positive.
Clemson is upset with FSU for their attempts to cancel this game and FSU was mad at Clemson as they felt Clemson was hiding this???
Who you believing??

You guys know didi. Clemson says this player tested negative during the week but had symptoms. The ACC tested him Friday morning before travel, lo and behold they get a positive. He practiced all week, travelled with the team and is now positive. Clemson let a player with symptoms practice all week. But you think FSU was in the wrong? Ainâ€t no fines coming from the ACC. Clemson was stupid.

Multiple sources said Clemson was tested before leaving for Tallahassee and did not get the positive test back until late Friday night, meaning the team had traveled to Tallahassee with a positive player. That player, an offensive lineman, was immediately isolated and Clemson arranged for him to travel back to Clemson separately. Clemson then informed Florida State of the positive test.
On Saturday morning, both schools got on a call with an ACC representative to sign off on whether they felt comfortable proceeding with the game. This is standard before any ACC game can be played. Multiple sources said Clemson felt comfortable it had followed all safety protocols and wanted to move ahead and play the game. In addition to following as many distance rules as possible during practice and meetings, Clemson traveled to Florida State wearing N95 face masks and face shields. Clemson also pointed out there is no evidence of coronavirus spread or transmission during games. In addition, one source said Clemson offered to get rapid testing on Saturday and move the game to Saturday night, but Florida State did not accept.

See this confirms both sides I guess. The way it was reported was FSU brought the attention to it and in a sense they did(though the ACC did the test and relayed the message). I guess from FSU side they are like look this kid practiced all week and was positive. We have no idea how many players from Clemson will end up getting it. If I was FSU I may have canceled also.

Clemson tested this player during the week, he had symptoms, but tests were negative.  Clemson administered tests. They allowed him to practice all week. Friday AM the ACC conducts their tests, as the protocols require. Clemson travels, with this player, to tallahassee. After arrival they are informed of the positive test. It was then disclosed to the league that although he had symptoms, he was allowed to practice.Â
Was Clemson going to annihilate FSU?  Undoubtedly. Was that the reason for FSU taking their approach?  Undoubtedly, it played a part. Was Clemson a bunch of dumbasses in their handling of this?  Undoubtedly.

Player may have had symptoms of "something" that resembles the symptoms of COVID-19. But still they should have been more circumspect in his handling. And, of course, I trust Dabo in everything he does or says.

Not smart. All my patients are advised if they have any COVID symptoms to quarantine even if their test is negative as false negatives do occur. No one should be going out to work, stores, sports practice, or really anywhere if they are sick period. Regardless of test results. They should know that at Clemson. Everyone should know that.
