It's fun to watch these guys try to do this. The fans actually boo and clap for each shot at 16 during the practice round. . That is unheard at the masters.

Oh, so they're all trying this shot at #16?

Yeah, they all attempt that shot during the practice rounds for fun on the 16th. Drop the ball by the water and internationally skull a shot to get it to skip on the water. It's a Masters tradition.

Thanks for the tidbit. I had wondered if it was the worst struck ball by a pro of Masters week or a deliberate action.

Maize when you brought up the masters in one of the football threads I just assumed you were looking forward to spring. Â I had no idea they were running the Masters right now. Â

Speaking of holes in one I had my first ever two weeks ago. I don't have a bucket list, but that certainly would be on it. Kind of strange also in that I had chips lip out for birdie on the previous and following holes, with one of those holes in Michigan and other in Indiana.

Well, congrats! I'm still waiting for one.Â
We have talked about it before, my Grandpa who doesn't even really like golf and is awful has two. Golf is just not fair. That trick shot by Rahm is totally something my Grandpa would pull off... the only difference is one was intentional, the other unintentional.Â
Maybe I'll get lucky someday...

Why does this sound like the punchline to a joke to me.Â
"South Bend? I spent a month there one night..."

"South Bend? I spent a month there one night..." Holes four, five, six, seven and 16 are in Michigan.Â
maize - it seems like the best golfers I know have never had a hole in one. I've known several scratch golfers who are still waiting or died without one.
Regarding my course, the previous time I played it before the hole in one I eagled 5 with the same club I used for the hole in one (hole 7) a week later. Golf is weird.

<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> That was actually his second hole in one this week.  He made a hole-in-one on the fourth the day before the skim shot.
