Seriously, 4 guys out of thousands and thousands potentially nominating?  Thatâ€s indicative of the love that Trump enjoys?  Two of those four are truly loony, too.

Maybe they were being polite by not arguing with you. You know, maybe they were talking about single assailant mass killers, that were identified, over that last 40 years, that have been, in 64 out of 116 times, white males and didnâ€t want to get into it with you. At a party. Thatâ€s extremely polite.

Just to be clear,, I'm not questioning the data on "mass shootings," HT is. I am questioning the relevance of cherry picking the mass shooting stat, which is a tiny, tiny, tiny fraction of the violent crimes committed in this country to show that white males, and not black males, are the problem. It's absurd on its face.

And come on somenole, you're a lib. ALL they want to do is talk politics, it's their entire lives.

No, you were diverting from an uncomfortable subject by dismissing their concerns. That itâ€s an insignificant (that would be your term) number of instances doesnâ€t alter the facts that most single assailant, mass killers of the last 50 years have been white males.

You're wrong, I didn't dismiss anything, I only stated it's cherry picking a tiny fraction of a LARGE problem to find a statistic that makes whitey look bad. Look at the makeup of folks in prison convicted of violent crimes. Which demographic dominates this population? Black males.

Actually white mass shooters aren't an outsized number compared to the population. About 70% of the shooters are whites are about 70% of the population or were when I looked at actual stats. The percentage is expected. Blacks make up 13% of the population and commit almost half the murders. 
Besides that what you can say is they are overwhelmingly male.

Just to add something more, the FBI stats each year routinely attribute about 50% of all murders to blacks.  That number is based on actual convictions.  When you consider that in many of the larger ghettos that have the highest homicide rates such as Baltimore, Chicago and Detroit, most of the homicides are never solved or charged.  That is why I would say the black murder percentage is probably more like 70-80% instead of 50%.  Basically about 3-4% of the population, black males under 40 years old, commit 70-80% of America's murders.

Iâ€m not sure of the original conversation but I think it was probably an observation that predominantly single assailant mass murderers ( the ones that have a lot of notoriety) have tended to be white makes. That it is statistically irrelevant in the whole of life, doesnâ€t change that fact. That, statistically, you are more likely to be assaulted/murdered by a black male, also, doesnâ€t change that fact. I doubt the conversation was an indictment of white males as a whole or white people in general. But I wasnâ€t there so, whatever.  Since weâ€re parsing statistics, Iâ€m going to say, statistically, the likelihood that the party goers believe that white males are more likely to kill them was close to nil.

And what you state as a fact is false. Do you understand the difference between raw numbers and per capita numbers? Would you like me to explain how statistics work? Would you understand any of it?
