That is highly classified information. I'll ask Bill though and let you know in a PM. Don't tell CB you know how he gets.

I am asthmatic and really hate medications Ihave been getting my flu shots (was a big step for me).

Do you feel the vaccines byPhizer and Moderna are safe?  I mean I want to get the vaccine but I am truly afraid
Several days ago I saw a story that says there is rising evidence that those who have, or had, asthma are likely more naturally protected from the virus as their bodies were already producing (insert medical
words here) which would help the body resist the virus. Seems counter-intuitive but logical.

I had childhood asthma and continue to have occasional short bouts with it. So Iâ€m hoping this is true.

Dear Dr 3GS, I am an aging straight white male with conservative proclivities. I have noticed that these symptoms are getting progressively worse and may be fatal. What do you think my prognosis is? Is there any hope at all?

Since it seems you are me the prognosis is baldness , a progressing curmudgeonly grouchiness, and an acceptance of the fact that it's as good as it gets.
IOW of course there's no hope. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Thank you oh great wise physician! You are correct, increasing baldness is also a symptom. And also periods of grouchiness! I guess I need to pull out that book by Dr Elizabeth Kubler-Ross so I can better understand my 5 stages of grief. I thinking I'm moving from denial to anger right now.

Can I stop wearing a mask after getting a COVID-19 vaccine?

No. For a couple reasons, masks and social distancing will still be recommended for some time after people are vaccinated.

To start, the first coronavirus vaccines require two shots; Pfizerâ€s second dose comes three weeks after the first and Modernaâ€s comes after four weeks. And the effect of vaccinations generally aren't immediate.

People are expected to get some level of protection within a couple of weeks after the first shot. But full protection may not happen until a couple weeks after the second shot.

It's also not yet known whether the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines protect people from infection entirely, or just from symptoms. That means vaccinated people might still be able to get infected and pass the virus on, although it would likely be at a much lower rate, said Deborah Fuller, a vaccine expert at the University of Washington.

And even once vaccine supplies start ramping up, getting hundreds of millions shots into people's arms is expected to take months.

Fuller also noted vaccine testing is just starting in children, who wonâ€t be able to get shots until study data indicates they're safe and effective for them as well.

Moncef Slaoui, head of the U.S. vaccine development effort, has estimated the country could reach herd immunity as early as May, based on the effectiveness of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. That's assuming there are no problems meeting manufacturers' supply estimates, and enough people step forward to be vaccinated.

Given that I will probably be one of the last people getting the vaccine, certainly MUCH later than those at most risk, I ain't wearing an effing mask after the shot. The author can kiss my ass.

I kind of like it. I pretend I'm handsome.
Getting my second shot this afternoon BTW. I'm hopeful I'm not in the placebo group. Especially since I had a very close exposure last week.

Very interesting. Iâ€m getting my second shot in the vaccine study and I overheard something. Moderna is bringing all the people who got the placebo back in and is offering them the real vaccine.

Well the Pfizer vaccine has been approved-now we have to wait a few more days to get through more red tape. WTF!!!!!!!
