Oregon decriminalized meth, heroin, and cocaine

Everything getting spiked with fentanyl has totally upended the legalization debate. Am I theoretically in favor of legalizing cocaine and non-artificial opiates? Yes, I am. That said, the junkies want meth or fentanyl b/c that stuff has the biggest bang-they aren’t going to pay more for pure heroin at the newly legal smack shop, b/c they know they will get a better high, for less $$, from the scumbag down the street. Whenever someone ODs on a batch of opiates of whatever type, the junkies immediately swarm the dealer like rats b/c they know it is a potent batch, and like idiots, think they won’t die this time b/c they have a tolerance.

This “business model” is why legalization doesn’t do what its purported to do though. Drug use isn’t rational and practical
