...they are easily deceived and easily led. Â
For instance, the idea that Donald Trump conspired with Vladimir Putin, despite any credible evidence, is totally believable for them. However, Hunter Biden getting lucrative contracts with companies in Ukraine, China, and (possibly) Russia is totally on the up-and-up. Â
They are truly some deluded and scary people.

The media will have to reconfigure itself if Trump wins.  Even if he loses, I donâ€t know how they ever earn back trust.  At minimum I expect new line-ups on cable news

What they say in public and what they believe behind closed doors may not be the same. The game of politics is to bring down the enemy at all costs, whether with fact or fiction.

Plenty of phonies been exposed as of late, but yeah there's a lot of theater there. The problem though is that the media partook in this game as well. They played the role of an advocate. They will pay a heavy price in regards to viewership, but I'm sure some socialist billionaire de jour will underwrite the losses they've incurred over the course of the last 4-5 years.

I expect if Biden wins, the other side will ramp up the “reportingâ€. Iâ€d love to see all cable news removed from prime time.

Of course. Fox wants to portray Dems a certain way, to benefit Republicans and CNN/MSNBC has the opposite goal.

And this media choosing sides thing goes back as far as the late 1700's. Papers aligned with candidates and bashed the opposite parties.

True, but they told you what they were up front; they didn't pretend to simply be a news source. I'll give guys like Hannity some credit. He goes out of his way to say he's not a straight-on journalist. His is an opinion show, and you know where he's coming from. Shows like 60 Minutes are supposed to be all about hard hitting, but fair reporting. Your top of the hour news, etc... Heck, NPR won't even mention the Biden stuff. And on and on. Â
I still believe most of the CNN people honestly try to pass themselves off as straight journalists. It's a hoot.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Of course. When Obama was President, Fox spent 8 years portraying him as being as bad as possible. When Trump was Pres, CNN/MSNBC did it. If Biden wins, it'll be Fox's turn again. The priority isn't news; it's keeping the attention of your core audience.

Fox *alone* went after Obama on his *true* background and record. They weren't part of some feedback loop that merely repeats one falsehood after another. There is a YUGE difference.Â
Yes, Fox will go hard to the hoop after Biden, but will they hold onto something (double and triple down) that an investigation clearly showed was NOT the case? etc, etc, etc... Â
Bottom line is that the MSM is now theeee propaganda wing of the left. Fox, for sure, goes to bat for conservative causes, but they don't live in an alternative universe completely divorced from reality either. Yeah they occasionally get caught pumping the neighbor's dog, but they then correct it and/or drop it.

Barack Obama was a great front man. I hated his manner of speech, similar to how I viewed George Bush, but he was polished and had the manner that people look for.
His ideology, to the extent that he believed it, and the ideology of his advisors(much more dangerous), was very damaging.

That isn't true at all. After Obama won, the people on Fox News were largely accepting and gracious and advised we must give Obama every opportunity. The Left on the other hand, was trying to remove Trump before he even took office.

You have a short memory if you don't recall how conservatives were gushing over Obama's election and how as a black he might bring the country together.
