Biden called Chinas President Xi a thug. Lumping him w Kim Jon. He didnâ€t mean it about Xi , but he said it

Trump scored points about Obama building the cages.
He also scored big on hammering Biden about his 8 years as VP and doing nothing about what he says he'll do if elected.

Trump scored points because the debate commission had strict rules about interruptions which made Biden exposed and he had to state some positions. Trump was providing him cover on the last debate. He just had to let Joe talk.
I still personally think people like the image of Trump/Pence better than Biden/Harris on the world stage when negotiating with other countries. Trump has the track record of setting terms straight and more advantageous to the US. Plus he has more gravitas. Trump is the most well known person on the planet. King Trump.

His schtick, I believe, has gotten old.

Specifically in the debate, on the COVID discussion, which is clearly Trump's weakest point (and I think the US numbers being what they are is mostly a function of our "freedom culture" more than anything Trump did or didn't do) he did quite well and probably at least held him to a draw.
On all other issues, he crushed him. I am disappointed he didn't bring up the court packing issue and didn't hammer him more on the corruption topic. He should have asked him to specifically state if he knows this Bobulinski dude and cared to comment on his press conference.

Beast, I think you are spot on with the Covid comment, with the explanation on the US numbers. Now, it takes a little thought to get to that point, but I think you nailed it.
No longer GroupThink 'woke'. but it was fun while it lasted.

If a Dem were in the WH Covid would have essentially been over and done with in May or June. Â
On that note, this might end up being my best birthday ever, as the drama of daily reports will come to an end on the 4th. They might pretend for another week or two just out of appearances, but that will mostly be that. No more daily tallies of new cases that mean almost nothing in the general scheme of things. No more mask Karens, etc, etc, etc... The jig will mercifully be up. THANK YOOOOUUUUUU.  Outside of vaccine news, we're mostly done here.   Â

Imagine if Biden had not been in hiding the last several months and had been on the campaign trail reciting even more of the far Left AOC agenda? The media would not be able to protect him.

The US did about the same as most western Democracies with regards to COVID. Maybe a little better if you take out the idiots in the NE like Cuomo, Murphy, and Di Blasio. At this point I'd give Trump a solid B on Covid. I can't give him an A because he's such an idiot (Hydroxychloroquine and other stupidities and undermining advisors) but I want to because of Operation Warp Speed. No one has modeled the best way to approach this situation overall. Right now the Dems are the problem. They're overreaching on mitigation measures and turned the vaccine race political and as such will delay the roll out unnecessarily killing thousands. Biden would've likely handled the situation badly. The guy truly is a dunce. The whole country would likely have goe the way of New York, worst death rate and worst economic calamity. Nice combo there Cuomo.Â
The Obama administration completely fumbled the Swine Flu situation. But then caught a break when it turned out to be a dud.

Biden and Harris being under wraps has been a boon for them. The Clinton campaign never seemed to understand that the more people saw and heard of her the more they despised her. The Biden/Harris campaign and their MSM P.R. department seem to get that the less they are seen and heard the better it is for them. Hard to control the message when people can see and hear what a couple of dimwitted clowns they are.
