Trump v Biden Debates (second poll for second debate VOTE!)
Translation

Daniel Garza
@danielggarza
Spanish speaking viewers of Telemundo expressed their preference of who won tonightâ€s presidential debate: 66% Trump 34% Biden. #DebateTuesday

At numerous points, Wallace struggled to control the candidates and reminded them, again and again, to adhere to the format both campaigns agreed on. The debate was intended to include two minutes of uninterrupted answers per question from each candidate followed by open discussion, but Trump repeatedly talked over Biden's responses and even sparred with Wallace himself.

"On the Trump side, it was too hot," Christie said. "You come in and decide you want to be aggressive, and I think it's the right thing to be aggressive, but that was too hot. With all that heat, you lose the light. That potentially can be fixed. Maybe, maybe not."

BIDEN'S TEAM COMMITS TO ALL PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES AFTER CLEVELAND SHOWDOWN

Christie caught flack after ABC announced he'd be parsing the most newsworthy moments of the debate, with critics citing a conflict of interest due to the former New Jersey governor's role in coaching the president.

As for Biden, Christie said, "I'd be very concerned that his problems can't be fixed because if you're not up to being able to stand up there for 90 minutes and be consistently coherent, people are gonna wonder whether you're gonna be able to do that when you're sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office. I think that's the issue that got raised tonight."

Normal Americans yes.  You inserted white nationalist as a dodgy taking liberal point.  Iâ€m normal and white and so are others in my life as friends and colleagues.... none of us believe that crap.  Thatâ€s made up BS like the word occultist.   Heâ€s not losing so thatâ€s more BS.   This is the liberal tactics...frame the opposition as this or that like racist, sexists, nationals, xenophobic etc...itâ€s just the lazy way to try and discredit him.
When you canâ€t sell your ideas you sell fear. Itâ€s the liberal way.
Yep, and letâ€s remember millions of normal black people will vote trump, who live as working people with families which donâ€t see race as issue on and in every part of our lives.
Im a Republican/ Independent unlike Trump who was a Democrat for 6 decades. Im also white never really cared much about any racist group .He sure acted very disparate and he already making excuses up to why hes going to lose .Didn't connect with many independents or women just the occult or good old boys glee club.So he still losing and really only hurt himself which is somewhat funny and tragic at the same time.
.He acted like a complete idiot last night and America lost because of it not one party. You might believe that crap  but most Americans are tired of his sannigans and lack of decorum as it shows weakness and just being unprepared for the job. Most of my friends are independents and republicans and its running about 70% now for Biden
Since you are an Independent Republican, you should be able to clearly articulate the conservative principles you stand behind. Feel free to engage from that perspective on the issues. I look forward to your thoughts.

Ok, Thought I would finally give my two cents. Had to catch up on 10 pages of reading in this thread.

Biden did himself a massive disservice be claiming he was the democratic party, rejecting socialized Medicare, and denouncing the green new deal. That will cost him dearly on the fringe which might pump the "protest vote" up 2-3 points. What made it even worse is he rarely had an answer or could articulate a plan for everything. At my work we have an unwritten rule that you shouldn't complain about what's not working unless you have a proposed solution. Biden didn't offer anything in that regard. It was simply "things are bad because of Trump, how does that make you feel...man." Claiming he has a "Biden Plan" for climate change and healthcare really wont move the needle. Sadly we live in an age where the media will not quiz him on that. To compound on that he had nothing to reply when asked to provide who he would elect to scotus. Essentially he was just playing to emotions without any substance and it was a poor look. Another bad look was saying "its not his job" to denounce violence or to speak with other democrats. You cant claim you are the party and pass the buck like that. Also trying to misconstrue Beua with Hunter to make it look like Trump was talking bad about the military was pretty gaffy.

Trump - What a doozey. The headlines will be about two things. First is his interrupting which was constant. I was shocked to see that he barely edged out over Biden's total talk time. Trump actually did something I didn't think he could do and that was to "out policy" Biden in the debate. As Biden mostly complained Trump actually had answers and people he referenced as supporting of his decisions. He came across more presidential as even though his comments could have been deemed low blows... they at least sounded better. Biden just screaming Trump is a liar really didnt have an effect. The second thing grabbing the headlines will be the whole KKK / Militia denouncing. This is going to go down as another charlottesville issue where the actual transcript paints a completely different story than how it played out verbally. Certainly not a great look and he could have been more definitive. However I feel that was a massive gotcha question by christ wallace who I will get into next. Overall classic Trump where if he could have just turned it down a notch people would have felt he defeated Biden soundly... just cant get out of his own way.

Wallace - Probably the biggest clown of the night and that's saying a lot. The guy tried to play a bit too hard cutting off people completing their thoughts. You arent going to verbally strong arm a sitting president or a former vice president. He also came across as defensive and protective of Biden while much aggressive with Trump. I also felt the questions were much more hostile towards trump than Biden. I think he lost it a bit when Trump said he could easily trade places with him at the start and he took it as somewhat as an eff you. We all know the press is hostile towards Trump and this just further proves it. Wallace tried constantly to get Trump to definitively say something where he left Biden open to interpretation and rarely told Biden specifically to tone down his constant (but not as constant as Trumps) interjections.

Sorry for the novel but I feel most people here would like a reasoned well thought out reply rather than "SoandSo Won!"

I was raised in a democrat home. My parents were proud democrats. I still remember watching election night when JFK won the presidency, They were ecstatic at his win. They were were hard working farmers who would be sickened at what the democrat party has become today. They also would not relate to a big share of the Republican party today.

I too was raised in a Democrat home, early at least. Dad was a union machinist at Goodyear and voted Dem till Reagan. My wife, the same way. Her grandparents were blue dog democrats.

That party is nothing like this party.

No longer GroupThink 'woke'.  but it was fun while it lasted.

Which part would that be?

The part that has Trump pretending to be a republican or the part that refuses to fight as hard for abortion reform as they do for tax breaks for the wealthy. I know they would not like the way the GOP has refused to stand up to Trump in regards to his behavior. Great move by Trump to tell the Proud Boy white supremacists to stand by. I will admit my judgement is clouded by my dislike of Trump. He is a buffoon and he is not the kind of guy I would ever want to do business with. The fact that Biden is not 20 points ahead of him shows just how bad a candidate Biden is.

To be fair, Biden said ANTIFA doesn't exist.  Proud boys?  You forgot he also said step aside or back.   I'm not sure what you mean Trump pretending to be Republican.  He's for tax cuts (I got one, and I'm not wealthy), better trade deals, which Biden would not acknowledge, AGAINST illegal immigration and undocumented, supports law enforcement,  is FOR domestic production of energy like oil and gas which has BOOMED, is appointing constitutionalists to the courts which are against abortion as he is.   AND..the party phonies did stand up to him and they were kicked aside for being part of the deep state like Romney, Corkle, McCain, etc.   Biden isn't ahead because he is part of this deep state that tried to use Russian hoax, FISA illegal warrants, Mueller mess and impeachment over phone call to INVESTIGATE HIS son and HIS corruption is giving Ukraine billions that was sucked up by a freaking energy company that was paying his son.  The nation recognizes this.

What in the hell does a comment on a Charlottesville protest have anything to do with running the country? Wallace's question was to trip up Trump

Bidens Deal vs the Green New Deal was to weatherize 40 million buildings. What does that mean? Insulation, new double pane windows, roofs and heat reflecting coatings? Okay who pays for that? Homeowners or building owners with a new 20 year note for improvements? yeah okay. They can do that now. Will it be a mandate?

Let Joe do more talking.
