Republicans have a 53 to 47 majority in the Senate, but Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) have already said they would not support a nomination before the election.
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) has not made a statement about his position in the debate, but if no other Republicans go against the party line, a tie in the Senate would lead to a tiebreaker vote from Vice President Mike Pence.

What people forget about Garland is that he was in fact nominated. And had the Dems held the senate he would've been confirmed, but they didn't. Also it was Obama's SECOND term. So of course the opposition party isn't going to just roll over. This isn't dear old dad's political environment anymore when everyone played at least semi-fair. Â
Modern Dems have poisoned the punch. The days of just rolling over and gulping it down are history.

If I'm Trump right now I come out and say something to the effect that if you want to keep making threats over my right/duty to nominate a justice, I WILL stack the court (in his second term) in advance of your threat. You want to go there? We'll go there.  Force their hand. Make them come out strong against stacking the court. Why not? These b1tches are burning down the entire country if they aren't getting their way. Put 'em on record.

Graham says they have the votes to fill the seat. Pierre Dilecto hasn't publicly come out in opposition, so maybe they have 51 solid Yes votes?

Gardner from CO is a yes, I expected he could've been a no.
Grassley appears to have backtracked, he will be a yes (when a few months ago he said he'd be a no)
Graham is most definitely a yes.
McSally is a yes.
The only other one who may squish, outside of Pierre, should be Tillis.
If Tillis is a yes, then Delecto can join the loser broads from ME and AK.
At that point Pence gets to cast the vote and leftard heads explode and we quench our thirst in liberal tears.

Romney just made a statement that seems a bit more positive than I would have expected from him. He doesn't say he's a yes, but says "I intend to vote based upon their qualifications"

exactly. They all just switch scripts according to which position they are in. Then all the masses make justification for "their side's" flip flop and demonize the other side.
