And two of them (Murkowski and Pierre Dilecto) need to be shown the door in the next election. She pretty much sucks, but any strong conservative in Maine has no chance to be elected, so I guess I am ok with Collins. She would at least vote against eliminating the filibuster.

All Republicans except Collins voted for confirmation. I am sure Mitch gave her full permission to do otherwise based on her reelection situation.

Any and all elections which seem fishy and challenged and could end up at Supreme Court would likely be at least judged in fairness and by law.  WHEW

Credit to Mitch McConnell for all of his work getting judges and justices approved for the President. He decided this vacancy would be filled if it occurred a long time ago. And thanks to him for blocking Merrick Garland.

Blocking all those radical Obama appointees and setting Trump up with hundreds!
Side note, I turned on cnn and msmbc and they didn't cover trump's speech, justice Thomas administering the oath, or just barret's speech. Just whining about covid and Trump winning again

So Murkowski, Dilecto and and Collins all voted against her, or just Collins? A tad confused by some of the posts. Â

All 47 dems voted no.
Final vote 52-48.

Collins voted no to both for political election reasons. Many believe she and Mitch had an agreement that he had all the votes he needed and she was to vote no to try and regain her seat in the Senate.

Man, if you're a Dem you don't dare leave the reservation. Not a single defector. Of course I guess you could say the same about the GOP, but of course the party of the president is going to vote for his nominees. Â
If the Dems want to throw a hissy fit, they can go to Harry Reid's house and whine away. Ye reap what ye sow.
