He's the third person in late 70-80s with pancreatic cancer in news.  Ginsburg, Lewis, and him.

I can relate to him. My dad died with that at 77.

I hope he went easy.  Watching my mom die with her last breath and trying to live was the toughest thing I've ever seen in my life. She had a Kaposi sarcoma not pancreatic.

Was on morphine so he was out of it but we were all there with him as he took his last breath. Very tough to watch.

"Jeopardy! is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully at home early this morning, surrounded by family and friends," the show wrote on its Twitter account. "Thank you, Alex."
The actor announced in March of 2019 that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and continued to update fans on his condition as he underwent treatment. He vowed to continue hosting and doing the job that he loves for as long as humanly possible.

Who is, "The most intelligent, humorous and graceful TV game show host that will be missed for a very long time?" for $1000.

It's pretty wild someone who is 80 years old lasted so long with stage 4 pancreatic cancer (and that he continued doing Jeopardy! for quite a while). It's taken many a young'un a lot faster than that.
With Sean Connery and Alex Trebek both passing so close together, I really hope SNL brings back Will Farrell and Darrell Hammond for an homage Jeopardy! skit.
