Ohio State 2020 Recruiting Thread

The players who just left Ohio State as juniors or seniors this year and last brought in by Meyer would have to go down as in top 5 in school history?  Agree?  No?  Yes?

As far as wins go they probably are #1.

Many rumors that OT-JC Latham may be committing very soon. This guy is a super huge get. 6'6" 305Lbs. out of the IMG Academy in Bradenton , Fla. Nationally ranked #36 and the #3 OT in the Nation by Scout 247. More than likely will be ranked as 5 star soon.

Rivals has him ranked currently as #74 in Nation overall. Many "Crystal Balls" have him committing to Ohio State.

One other player who has been "Crystal Balled" to Ohio State is Emeka Egbuka. 5 Star WR from the State of Washington. He is Nationally ranked #9 overall and the #1 WR in the entire Nation. At 6'1" 190 lbs. he would be the 2nd #1 WR to commit to TOSU back to back years with Julian Fleming from Pennsylvania last year. Emeka is ranked #11 overall by Rivals. I think Emeka commits shortly after JC Latham.

Next player on deck to commit would quite possibly be 6'4" 310 lb DT Tywone Malone from Oradell, NJ. He is ranked #41 and #53 from Rivals/Scout respectively overall. He has many "Crystal Balls" for committing to Ohio State.

If/when these 3 players commit it will give the Buckeyes 14 top 100 players in the Nation. I do think this would be a record and could catapult us as the greatest class ever recruited in CFB. But the Buckeyes still have several others that are still very much "in" for.
I do think we get the 3 mentioned above-it is just a matter of time when they announce.

JUST WHEN YOU THINK IT CAN NOT GET ANY BETTER RYAN DAY PULLS ANOTHER RABBIT OUT OF HIS HAT.

Actually the 2020 class was not bad-we just did not have enough openings(only signed 14) and missed on a solid RB which Ryan Day made up for acquiring Trey Sermon from Oklahoma who is 1 and out but Teague should be healthy along with Crowley and then we will Treyveon Henderson and Pryor in the mix for 2021.

But YES-I agree-this 2021 class could be one for the record books.

I read quite a bit on Buckeye recruiting so just trying to bring the best from many websites. Buckeyes have an offer out to Zach Rice which may be the first from Liberty University.

This guy is huge. Maybe underrated? This may be pressuring Latham to commit. Ryan Day does no play around. He got burned last year with RB's. Not happening this year. Ryan Day wants this class finished by start of new season.

I think Ryan Day is throwing back at recruits-first come-first serve. Players know Buckeyes is top 5 College every year and able to develop if a player is dedicated. I think Ryan Day realized last year he is not waiting for a player-in this case 2 RB's that were highly recruited and both decided elsewhere.
 Give the Buckeyes a 4 star recruit and we are good-you want to play the "I do not know which college I want to go" or play the hat game then Ryan Day and Ohio State is not the College of your choice.

Ryan Day is making the decisions vs. the athlete in many cases. I love this and that is why Day is recruiting so well. Urban Meyer put all his eggs into 1 basket way too many times along with JT.  

Ryan Day throws that concept under the rug and whoever commits first will be a winner and possible shot at the NFL.

I guess we need to start focusing on the 2022 class. CJ was a huge get for the Buckeyes. They now have 3 recruits and all are top 200 players.

I enjoy remembering other B1G fanbases yelping about how the Buckeyes would have a fall off on the field after Coach Meyer. No way anyone can continue to recruit like Meyer. I am loving Coach Day's recruiting.

Haha-agree 100% Jmesser. When Ohio State appointed Ryan Day all the talking heads were stunned. No search for new coach? No questions asked? Urban Meyer knew what he was doing and went to Gene Smith and told him I(Urban) already searched everywhere. Urban's replacement was working under Meyer for 2 years.

The Buckeye haters were stunned that Ryan Day was hired.
