Oh well.
Two part question. What band wrote the lyrics “donâ€t let me down Bruce!â€Â And the second part is, what is Bruceâ€s last name? ???
There's an ELO song with Don't bring me down Bruce.
There's a Beatles song Don't let me down but no Bruce I'm aware of. My bad. Yes I meant Elo and  donâ€t BRING me down Bruce. Okay. I was so confused. I had the Beatles song in my head especially since you were asking Beatles stuff but then the Bruce part made me think of the ELO song.
I dunno any last name. I just remember the refrain.Â
Yeah I sort of did the same thing mixing up let and bring. And you dunno a last name because there wasn†t one.  Bruce does not refer to an actual person.

So he's really saying groooos. I did not know that. Learn something new every day. Â
Alright, Nora Jones' father was pretty tight with George Harrison of the Beatles. Who was/is her dad?

You are correct in that Bruce isn†t really part of the “official†lyrics. That link I posted explains that whole Bruce thing.

What was the first Billboard number one hit song that included a sitar? Artist and song.

Didn't the Animals have a hit like Down at/in Monterrey? I'm gonna use that answer for both because I'm not really sure which one it would work for---if either.

The Animals did have a song called Monterey but no sitar. Looking it up they had a guitar mimicking a sitar at one point. It was also recorded after the two songs I'm asking about. There were a lot of songs with sitar recorded shortly after those songs had success.
First clue. The first song was recorded in 1965 and the second was recorded in 1966. Different songs and different bands and not at all obscure. You know them.

Gotta be a Beatles song in there. I want to say Norwegian Wood, but I haven't heard that in so long I can't remember if there's a sitar in there or not.

The following year a sitar featured prominently in a Billboard number one hit. You do know the band and song, guaranteed. Do you remember a great TV drama series that didn't last long enough in the 80s?

By your hint I'm going to toss out Paint It Black by the Stones. I forget the name of that show, but I remember liking it even though I was just a kid. Centered around Vietnam.

That is also correct Scarlet, Tour of Duty used it as it's theme. George Harrison on Sitar on Norwegian Wood and Brian Jones on Paint it Black a number one hit for the Stones. Like I said not obscure groups or songs at all.
You are up.
An aside to Zig. I wanted to put up pictures and ask who the artist was and what guitar they were playing(make and model). The site wouldn't let me even post one pic saying the posts had too many characters.

This is funny. Â Just turned on tv and Argo is on IFC, and right when I turn it on Dance The Night Away is playing during the scene where they are doing the sit down reading of the fake movie. Â
Alright, my question:  One of the producers of Sheryl Croweâ€s debut Tuesday Night Music Club, David Baerwald, was part of an 80s duo that only made one album together.  The album went Platinum.  Name the duo and the album.

I cheated cuz I had no idea. Still have no idea. Positive I've never heard of them or heard their hit song before. Positive I wouldn't have listened a second time if I had.

Iâ€ve posted that tune on here before.  One of my favorite tunes from the 80s.
