Okay Iâ€m back. I feel relieved.

It's a ballad. 1970. That's before Blue Bayou and You're No Good.Â
It was on her second album called Silk Purse. Recorded in Nashville and pretty much country. The song was a crossover hit though. After the album she put together a touring band to go on the road. Glen Frey, Bernie Leadon, Randy Meisner, and Don Henley. This is a different song from Silk Purse. https://youtu.be/vYhAwdf-_gM?list=PL22ye...5mx6yV-isa

Well Some one put one up. I thought someone would get that off the lyrics anyway. I've seen clips of her doing it on Johnny Cash's show and the Midnight Special pilot. I was never a big fan but I don't think too many, if any, pop stars could do that song justice the way she does.Â

Would've liked to put up a question on this song, but I wouldn't even know how to word it.

Here's a fairly easy one to hopefully get this rolling again. Title and artist to this '72 song.
Well I've seen couples holdin' hands With that glazy look in their eyes And I've seen lovers rollin' round in bed Screamin' as if they're gonna die

The America, and the American Military, that you once knew is gone.

If I get this right it will be because of Lrrps' remark. America?
edit: I was originally gonna say Hall and Oates, but I don't think they had a hit til like 74 or 75.

Not America. This group was formed in 1967 in Champaign, Illinois.
Well I've seen women who cross their legs Before they sit down to the table And I've seen women who look to the sky Screamin' Lord I believe in the Bible And I've seen hookers dancin' through Times Square With their heads held up so high |
