WASH YOUR HANDS PEOPLE!!!!!!!! It is like living in a giant clean room now. You have masks, some people are wearing disposable gloves. Some are wearing visors to protect their eyes. You wash your hands after handling anything. For the first time ever, people are standing farther away from each other, so more personal space. Elevators are getting sanitized daily. At our apartment they have set up q-tips in every elevator to use to press the floor buttons, after which you dispose of the q-tip.Â
No one shakes hands to say hello.

Is fist bumping cool, or are the Chinese as annoyed with that douchery as we are? Life and death issue or not, we're not acting like a bunch of American frat boys. Â

It†s getting quite concerning over here. In Hubei province (with Wuhan) if you are not wearing a mask you may be arrested. In a city in a NE province they threatened Capitol Punishment for intentionally not wearing a mask.
Going out is really bizarre. People are keeping their distance from each other. One lady looked at me as I was death itself. Guess she thought all of the foreigners went home.

I don't mind the fist bump. A lot of people have cold, clammy hands that are gross to shake. And then there are the morons that try to lure you into the black handshake, which I don't have any interest in ever even attempting to learn. Plus a lot of people don't wash their hands after using the commode. Not to mention the sneezers. Or the weirdos that try to pull you in for a bro hug.

At our apartment they wonâ€t let you in if you have a high temperature. Turns out if your temperature is 37.3 C or higher you are banned. You canâ€t go home for two weeks minimum and you have to have a notice from the hospital you are OK. Thatâ€s only 99.14 F !!!
Mine was 36.5 and my wifeâ€s was 37.0. So she turns to me and says, I told you that Iâ€m hotter than you.

So Asian women do have a sense of humor after all.  Â
So say you're at work and starting to feel a little clammy. You head home and it's 37.4. So you either go to the hospital, where all the really sick people are (possibly putting yourself at risk if you just have a standard fever), or you spend 2 weeks in a hotel room watching old McGyver episodes and ordering massages from high end "escorts." If I were you I'd hit the treadmill right after work and leave on 3 layers of hoodies and then go right to the front door. Â
In all seriousness, sounding crazy over there. Hang in there, dude. And keep that damn mask on!
I don't know what to make of this... the explanation could be as simple as human error or coding issue, but on 3 occasions Tencent has released data greatly exceeding the official numbers only to update the data to reflect the official govt numbers. Their latest release... 154,023 infections and 24,589 deaths. Note, the numbers were changed to reflect the govt's official numbers.

I've heard of it somewhere. Couldn't place it......
If there is any truth to it, heads will be rolling at Tencent......possibly literally.
