Lots of unregulated prostitution in Nevada especially Las Vegas.  Obviously most of it in the city and in the seedy hotels.  Of course it all ties into drugs since most prostitutes are addicts.  There are places in some cities however where people have to put up with it outside their doors and yards.  zig, I am just saying that if prostitution laws disappeared things would be worse.  You would have one person operations running their business out of their houses and apartments flying below the regulating bodies and licensing.  Just like non-licensed marijuana sellers in areas where cannabis has been legalized and regulated.

I remember seeing lots of beautiful women, all alone, at the various bars in Caesar's Palace.  It was around 11 PM.  I was told that it was likely that most of them were prostitutes.   It made sense.

And those are the so called upscale whores that charge bigger money.  Most prostitutes there are street walkers.

I doubt that most are "street walkers".  I gander that most work for "escort" services.

Instagram is full of beautiful babes that, I presume, can be had for the right price, in Vegas or elsewhere.  I presume that many extraordinarily beautiful women only meet with "johns" that are willing to pay thousands for an evening together.

You seem to have a strong distaste for women who provide sexual services in exchange for payment.  Are you equally disgusted when a man and a woman meet at a bar and have sex out of wedlock?

Nope.  Most are low life drug addicts and that is why the police there have prostitution task forces and sting operations in those seedy hotels and surrounding areas.  Its not something Vegas wants because tourism is their big draw and most tourists don't want to see street walkers.  Escort services are more expensive because you add another layer of costs and in fact some of the chicks you saw in Caesers could have been with escort services and waiting for their customer.

Prostitution is a big draw in Vegas. The authorities don't pursue it aggressively.

You would have hard time finding a city that arrests more people for prostitution than Vegas.

That's true, but I have to surmise that the number of paid sex acts on a daily basis is in the stratosphere.

Which takes us back to the false idea that legalizing and regulating prostitution solves the problem.

My belief is that by legalizing and licensing it, we can take the human traffickers and pimps out of it.  We'll also stop making criminals of otherwise law-abiding people.  Not to mention, free people should be able to do this.  However, we can agree to disagree.  Anyway, thanks for the quality exchange.

You are welcome but like I said, legalization has actually resulted in more law breaking by prostitutes who can't afford to be regulated and licensed.  Legalization just made things worse.
