Going to the gym for a 3 hour 1000 calorie burn off of 15 miles is NO FUN...BUT, running into buddies and talking beer is. Guy today told me of this beer and I bought six on way home:
about 7.2 ABV. Going to have ONE tonight.

Opened a Conway's Irish Ale and will follow with an Uncle Rusty Columbus Brewery imperial Red Ale and either a tropi CANNON or a Bodhi Columbus Brewery IPA. I guess I could have 4 tonight since I only had 2 last night.

Was out tonight drinking more of that local Monnick IPA. I have had many of the top shelf and highly ranked IPA's including Pliny the Elder, Zombie Dust, and Hopslam but this is one of the best and I would choose it over any of those.

Zombie Dust is really good. I've also had the Gumball Head and Alpha King. All great beers but tad bit expensive for my pocket book.
Conways Irish Ale is nice blend of sweet and Great Lakes signature taste in all their beers with a smooth rap sheet of toasty biscuit and caramel malt flavors.. Goes down easy and is about 6.3 ABV.
Next is the Uncle Rusty bold Imperial Red Ale is brewed with a blend of English crystal malts, providing a sturdy balance to the firm bitterness and citrusy, floral hop aroma. Brewed with Simcoe, Centennial, and Amarillo hops. This beer is about 9.3 ABV and cost 13 bucks for four beers.

Bells tap takeover at my local neighborhood craft beer place tomorrow night which I am looking forward to.
Included on tap will be two hall of fame beers, Hopslam, their 10% double IPA and the standard, Two Hearted at 7%. Both rated 100% on ratebeer. Great stuff.

Back home from the Bells tap takeover. Great stuff as I said.Â
After a little supper, now relaxing with some bourbon off the bottom shelf. Drinking Old Fitzgerald with a little ice. Great history for this nice wheated bourbon that was once owned by Pappy Van Winkle. Cut and pasted below off wiki. Easy drinking and a little lighter than Larceny. The price? Less than $10 for a 750 at Total Wine. Unreal.
Old Fitzgerald was first produced in 1870 for rail and steamship lines and private clubs located primarily in the south by John E. Fitzgerald in Frankfort, Kentucky.[1] Around 1900, "Old Fitz" was released to the public in America and Europe. It was one of the few distilled using the pot still method, and continued to do so until around 1913. During Prohibition, Old Fitzgerald was one of a select few to distill under government supervision for the national medicinal trade, it was soon after acquired by Pappy Van Winkle for $10,000 who then introduced the "Whisper of Wheat" to the original recipe. By substituting some wheat for the more traditional rye in the grain recipe, Old Fitzgerald presented a rounder, softer profile than other bourbons.
Old Fitzgerald was produced at the Stitzel-Weller Distillery until the distillery was shut down in 1992 and production transferred to Diageo's newly constructed Bernheim Distillery in Louisville.[2] In 1999, Diageo sold the brand, along with the Bernheim Distillery, to Heaven Hill, which currently produces and markets Old Fitzgerald.[3][4]Â

I still haven't tried the TropiCannon I picked up this week. Hope to this evening. Enjoying an Eliot Ness currently.

I bought a 6 pack at a unrealistic price of $17.99 and gave it all away.
2 a piece to 2 neighbors and the last 2 to my son.
If none of them tell me it gave them a Erection for 4 straight hours i won't be buying anymore of that overhyped
Michigan swell.

Hopslam went from $11.99 to $14.99 during the hops shortage of 2008/09.
Now, it's $17.99 for a 6-pack and there's a glut of hops. Ouch. The market has spoken.

One might think your opinion would be more interesting or even exist if you didn't just copypasta of off brewery's own words.
Here's to forming actual opinions and thoughts about what you drink! CHEERS to non-plagiarism, teacher!
P.S. You were recently a drinker of these... So, don't act like you're now professorial when you brazenly lift words from others.

Really canâ€t see anyone thinking those were Zigs words when paired with the stock photo. I think most beer reviews are overly wordy crap with little value. I love untapped, not that some donâ€t try to overthink beer, but you can get opinions from people you know have similar taste.
Far more valuable than an over adjectived opinion with obscure references an rediclous attempt at pairing with food.

Yup, I don't get a thing from wine ratings or reviews. They are verbose and don't say anything useful in my view, beyond perhaps an occasional comment that the wine needs 15 years before drinking.
My problem with beer is they seem to be trying to get cute these days with all these flavors instead of just making a good solid drinkable beer faithful to the style.
