I've found that the major European players(Germany/France) are that way.  They've done it with Iranian embargoes, Russian embargoes, etc.  I truly would hate to be England and be tied at the EU hip with them for that reason.  They voice community agreement and act in selfish self interest.

This. If BHobozo was smart, which, obviously, he isn't, he would pulled every troop out of Afghanistan after the SEALs whacked Bin Laden and told Pakistan to go eff themselves w/ India as we walked out the door.

The intervention in Syria wasn't necessary-nothing has changed since the chaos broke out in 11' or whenever, but carpet bombing/cleaning up the swarm of jihadi scumbags in ISIS on the Syria/Iraq border was necessary. Of course ISIS very well might not have spawned w/out the original Iraq invasion.
