Yeah this is an obvious one for me as well.  3+ years ago I figured Trump was a joke with no chance to win.  He ushered in a paradigm shift I never saw coming.  With the benefit of hindsight he showed that fighting back is respected more than slapping on some Bryl Creme and just taking it on the chin like some southern gentleman.

My attitude has also changed, obviously, about our rights when interacting with law enforcement. Believe it or not, for the large majority of my life I had the same opinion as zigbee, hightop77 and others here. That was before somebody pointed out to me the importance of our constitutional rights, even when we are suspected of a crime or a criminal.

A gay relationship is none of our business, but putting society's stamp of approval on it?  Huge mistake.  Yuge.  The ramifications will begin to slowly manifest themselves over time.   Legitmizing it legitimizes their complaints against people "discriminating" against them.  We are already seeing religious people being persecuted over this lunacy.  So, yeah... it affects other people.
