Thoughts on Justin Amash leaving GOP?
#1
Was he right in his stance?  He announced this via WaPo which makes me go hmmmmmmm.....Is he true libertarian?  He seemed to side with dems.  Did he ever bash Pelosi and company?

Wasn't he getting trounced in primary polling? He has expressed interest in running for POTUS as a third party too.

Pretty sure you are right on the primary polling.  Saw writing on the wall?

Amash let his hatred for Trump blind him.  He read the Mueller report and never read what wasn't in it.  Never mind that no collusion was found, but what's that anyway when you simply hate Trump?  I used to like this guy.  I still kind of do, but instead of working with Trump to try and get some libertarian type stuff accomplished, you side with the goofy left simply out of spite?

Being a libertarian isnâ€t about taking sides in impeachment catfights or bitching about Trump. Itâ€s about standing by up against wasteful and/or unconstitutional government programs, idiotic overseas adventures, and intrusion against personal libert by big government. If Amash wants quit the GOP-whatevs-itâ€s his career. FWIW, he hasnâ€t declared himself a rep of the Libertarian Party.

Who do you consider a true Libertarian right now in office?

You don't seem to hear much about that in the media.

I have yet to see MSM report on this... although I could've missed it.

Libertarian with a capital L means the official Libertarian Party-none of those. Amash is still a libertarian in his ideological identification. I donâ€t think ones position on the Mueller Report or Russia collusion has anything to do with ones specific policy preferences. It might have a lot to do with ones party identification. People often confuse the two.

So, your answer to whom you see in office right now as a TRUE libertarian is zero?

Iâ€d say Amash is a true libertarian. Rand Paul is as well-or pretty close. There isnâ€t a definitive dividing line, just a general stance on issues like the 2nd Amendment, federal spending, govâ€t overreach, etc.
