Why is finding another planet a big deal? I've always assumed that there were unseen planets; probably lots of them.

It bears interest in terms of our theories of how the solar system developed over time, for one thing.  It also might help better understand the paths of comets from the Oort Cloud.

I doubt there are "lots of them" though that exist under the gravitational sway of the sun.

The article notes that if it's there, it probably is near the largest distance from the sun where it travels the slowest, so it would be out there for a long long long time before getting relatively close, which is still well outside the orbit of Pluto.

I surmise our buddy CB doesn't really understand this very well.
