Majority of snowstorms are seen in Wilmington in January and February, with both months accounting for a combined total 66% of all events.

Average under 2 per year?

Rare and and foot of snow is not happening

Um I know it did not happen but that was not at issue.  It is what was called for based off of the models.   I asked did you get a lot of rain because as the model shifted more north they said you guys were gonna get a lot of rain.  Maybe that did not happen either.which is why I asked.

And yes you can post some link of average snowfall since 1870  but it does not take a rocket scientist to know it does not snow much in NC specially your area (well it does snow in the mountains up there towards Raleigh), which is why I made the original comment about that possibility you guys were under.

My point was its very, very doubtful

Im used to it being nice to the extent I now get cold easy

Should warm up soon.  I have to walk outside for exercise of back and neck surgeries and its cold to me in the 40s.  When i lived in ohio that would have been great

Uh, you are off few states.  I live in Wilmington NORTH CAROLINA not ohio

We have palm trees…. On the ocean.  A snow flake is rare.

Temp is 44 degrees and dips to 20s or 30s at night.  It will improve in few weeks to 60-70

When was the last time that you stopped in Wilmington Ohio?

I know that they have the OAC doormat, along with the closest Gold Star chili to Columbus.

Can't imagine that they are famous for much else beyond that, and frankly even those two attributes aren't exactly widely known throughout the state.

Yes,in January in Ohio temps in the 40's are rare but not as rare the past few years.  A couple years back I was grilling ribs in shorts and a t shirt on New Years Eve.  We had some mellow winters the past few years.  This year is more typical.  We have been in the 20's and have had a lot of snow with more on the way.  We had some lake effect of Erie a couple weeks ago dumping a foot of snow in the Cleveland area and there is another one on the way.

I know a few who played FB for the Quakers.  My son played against them.  You are right about the town being obscure.  Bengals used to hold summer camp there

I counted the good months of weather in ohio:
May, June, july, August, september and october

Even those have lot of grey cloudy days

Agreed. Heck I do not mind the winters honestly, I hate the Spring.  It teases you with better temps but it rains all the time and when it does not it is just gloomy all day.

Imo, I’d love to live in Ohio from May to end of October. And Alabama from November to April. Spring here is great, winter is temperate and the cold never lasts long. But July and august are brutal.

I can only imagine 2-a-days under coach Bryant, circa 1964.  That had to be absolutely brutal.
I remember junior high and my freshman year you were still considered a pu$$y if wanted water.  The coaches would just trash you.  This is 1980–1982.  Enter my sophomore year, 1983.  The coaches had a big pre 2-a-day meeting where the parents were invited.  Apparently they had gone to a seminar or something because, get this, they were telling us the importance of hydration.  Lol.  Apparently kids dropping over dead (not my school, but you’d hear the stories across the country) got their attention and they found out, yeah…. Water is kind of a big deal.

This was the deal in Phoenix too in the mid to late 70s. I don't know how they didn't kill every kid in the valley. We had two a days in August and the afternoon practice was from 3-5PM. I'm sure there would've been twice as many kids trying out if they just practiced after sunset. I remember playing a school called Agua Fria (no there wasn't any cold water) which was in the middle of cotton fields at the time in west Phoenix in early September. JV games were right after school. It was 115 in the shade and there wasn't any shade. I was on all teams and didn't come off the field until half time. They let me have a little water from a fountain by the locker room.
