NEW YORK (AP) — The Trump administration brushed aside decades of precedent when it ordered Columbia University to oust the leadership of an academic department, a demand seen as a direct attack on academic freedom and a warning of what’s to come for other colleges facing federal scrutiny.

Federal officials told the university it must immediately place its Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies Department under “academic receivership for a minimum of five years.” The demand was among several described as conditions for receiving federal funding, including $400 million already pulled over allegations of antisemitism.

Conditions on receiving federal funding.

You want academic freedom so you can teach how Jews are evil?  Then go your own way.

You think Columbia University classes teach that jews are evil?

That many of the professors in these courses push that idea is an absolute certainty.

If that can be proven then MAYBE you leverage fed money to term that employee.  You don't claim classes about other cultures are DEI.  That's moronic.

I would stake 100k that 95% or greater of these classes taught in America are saturated with anti Israeli, anti American, and DEI teaching.

I doubt Hamas has greater support in Gaza.

NEW YORK (AP) — Columbia University said Monday that it has removed three administrators from their positions and will keep them on leave indefinitely after finding that text messages they exchanged during a campus discussion about Jewish life “disturbingly
touched on ancient antisemitic tropes.”

The idea that they've just become aware of that is so ridiculous. It's a big a lie as Obama pretending he didn't know Bill Ayres.

I bet he’s been to college. He seems to have exactly the kind of willful ignorance that you see in a lot of college students

Genius.  Let it spread and mutate and maybe, just maybe, we'll get a variation that is really transmissible in humans.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the nation’s top health official, has an unorthodox idea for tackling the bird flu bedeviling U.S. poultry farms. Let the virus rip.

Instead of culling birds when the infection is discovered, farmers “should consider maybe the possibility of letting it run through the flock so that we can identify the birds, and preserve the birds, that are immune to it,” Mr. Kennedy said recently on Fox News.

He has repeated the idea in other interviews on the channel.

Mr. Kennedy does not have jurisdiction over farms. But Brooke Rollins, the agriculture secretary, also has voiced support for the notion.

“There are some farmers that are out there that are willing to really try this on a pilot as we build the safe perimeter around them to see if there is a way forward with immunity,” Ms. Rollins told Fox News last month.

Herd immunity is a thing. If you do it in a controlled environment, it could be a massive gain

It won't occur.  Birds are raised and killed within months. Layers in a year or two. Think about it. The retard HHS secretary can't think but you can. The 'herd" is constantly turning over.  Fresh meat for viruses over and over. That's without getting into the issue of mutation. There won't be a controlled environment they'llpass around from farm to farm.

We both know I don’t know Diddley about chicken immune systems or the process of raising them. But the way I read the comments, their thought was to take a herd, raise them in exposure to the flu, and then you use the survivors. Essentially these birds are part of a process, not part of the food chain, at least until immunity is achieved.  Is that not “medically possible”?
