Adding insult to injury today, Kyle McCord engineered a 21 point comeback and beat Miami. Lmao. Good for Kyle, but this has NOT been a good day for Ryan Day.

Clemson has a pulse. With the Miami loss it will play in the ACC title game. It wins and it locks an automatic bid. A 3 loss team will knock out a 2 loss team. Maybe it's SMU.

It appears to me that the two best teams in the ACC are SMU and Louisville. Cards unexplainable loss at Stanford after close losses to ND, SMU and Miami finished off any playoff shot. Finished 8-4 after drubbing Kentucky but should have been better.

I watched a couple of those losses. Stanford was odd.
Clemson might backdoor into the playoff but it won't be easy. SMU seems legit even with its soft resume.
This has been a really whacky season.

SMU apparently has good NIL money and a lot of talented players now. Might surprise someone in the play off.

Indiana coach took 13 players with him when he left James Madison. Indiana U. has money. It's one of the wealthiest in the Big Ten. SMU always had the "Dallas" money but the Death Penalty destroyed the program for decades. With NIL/Portal, and being in the ACC, SMU can be successful.

Freeman is 30-9 over all after inheriting a well stocked program.
11-1 this year and his biggest wins are Louisville by 7 points (after the Cards made several key turnovers) at home and at Texas A&M. He lost to Northern Illinois at home. Good record this year but still no big career wins. His season will be determined by what ND does in the playoffs.

I keep circling back that our defense really only gave up one legit scoring drive which resulted in a FG, and UM’s qb stat line was pretty terrible, yet they won. I believe both teams had two turnovers. So it’s not like they played even a dull but clean game. They were as awful as we were on offense. Our defense played lights out. Just a surreal outcome. It was the play calling, but still…. You give me those facts ahead of time and I assume we cruise to a double digit win.
