Probably so. They do in-state matchups like this regularly in the basketball tournament. 3 loss teams should not be in the playoffs. They he SEC is nothing special this year.
I think there are 3 loss teams out there that are better than Indiana. You really have to take everything into consideration if you want to get the best 12 teams.
Maybe so, but when you lose 3 times you lose that opportunity. Also, the SEC plays 1 less conference game than everyone else. They also sneak in a division 2 game before their end of the year rivalry games.
Well we can disagree. How does Indiana deserve a playoff spot with literally no quality wins and a blowout loss to the only decent team they played?

Why is three losses the magical "you can't qualify for the CFP" golden rule? This is like the first year with TWELVE teams qualifying for the playoffs. 3 losses doesn't seem like too much to me. I bet every single year in the past 2 decades, the list of the top 12 teams in college football included at least one 3 loss team. This year is not an exception.

There was not enough consideration this year given to strength of schedule. That's why IU got in over Bama/Ole Miss and why Penn St was given a better seed than an obviously super OHIO STATE team. Enough of the nonsense already!

Got a kick out of S McDonough last night going off on how the B1G only has 2 titles in the last 20-some years, then he remembered OSU won the first playoff in 2014 too, so it's 3 (and of course UM won in 97 as well, just 5 years before our 2002 title). Which I find to be a hoot, because once a playoff was implemented (more than 2 teams for a change), it sort of blew a hole in his whole point about the B1G being overrated. I mean seriously, the B1G has been dumped on for a long time now. Deservedly so in some spans, but to act as if bias never worked against our conference is just a silly take. Often times B1G teams couldn't get into the top 2. And the idea that our 2015 team didn't belong in the playoff was a crime. Of course they made up for it the very next season and put us in when we probably shouldn't have been in, but I digress.

And every year there are really only 2-3 teams that belong in a playoff.

You're off your rocker. They were down 27-3 with 3 mins left. Indiana blows. Bama would beat them by 2+ TDs on a neutral field.

How do you explain tOSU playing an HBCU Grambling in 2025?

Everyone plays cupcakes. We don’t play them the week before our biggest rivalry game though.

21 points lost by him already. Of course against Louisville he looked like Lamar Jackson.
