They lost to Georgia by 2 TDs and an Arkansas team that is worse than Michigan. Their best wins were over 3 loss Bama and a blow out of NC State (2nd game of the season). Against the other 4 "mediocre" teams they played (OK, FL, UK, Vandy), they beat all of them by less than 2 TDs, including an OT win over Florida. Their other 4 games were against trash, so nothing there to learn there.

Based on all this, it makes sense why tOSU is a 7.5 point favorite. We should win this game.

Anyone that watched THE GAME knew it was more about us losing it than them dictating things and flat  beating us.  That said, a lot of those games turn into stubborn street fights.  Is what it is.  We made the more critical mistakes.  Just talked to a UM fan coworker of mine.  He was bewildered at Day’s game plan as much as I was.  

Anyway, it’s the playoffs.  The main team goal is still out there.  I just hope they can move past the last debacle.  

Disclaimer:  Our defense has nothing to hang their heads about.  They played mostly lights out and deserved a better outcome.  I just hope they keep it going against the creamsicles

Another reason for optimism is that Day's teams have been excellent in the CFP. A deceptive 1-3 record where the refs basically screwed us in 2 of those games. But man, it's gonna be a Herculean task to do it 4 games in a row.

TBH, if we get to the semis, I am "mostly" ok with Day being our coach.

He’s waiting until after the playoffs, but yes. Smart move to enter, classy move to stick around throughout the playoffs. You don’t bring in a dude like Sayin to sit him multiple years, and if St.Clair lives up to his press clippings, he’s leapfrogging Brown on the depth chart as well.

Buckeyes are likely to land 25’ recruit Faheem Delano’s older brother Mansoor from V-Tech, 3rd team all ACC, experienced slot CB/FS.

A 5 star qb from CA committed to tOSU. He's the #2 qb in the 2027 class.

An O-lineman who plays for Nevada might visit, same with an O-lineman who plays for NW. A safety from Purdue might be interested in tOSU too.

Both teams simply did not play a great game.  Our turnovers were just more critical.  We missed two FGs and you made two.  There’s your outcome.  The previous 3 years ttun had the better team or, at worst, equal.  This year was no excuse.  Ryan Day sh1t his drawers.

Defense’s one bad play sealed our fate.  If the offense simply ran a typical scheme, we probably don’t need the D to be perfect.
