Bronny has shown no evidence of being a tool. He’s obviously riding his dad’s coattails but I don’t blame a 19 year old for that. I blame 40 yo dad

Cavs with their most impressive win of the year last night. 2nd night of back to back against a desperate Bucks team, Giannis and Dame bring their A+ games, down 16 early and they still pull out the win on the road. We got something going here.

This Cavs team has been impressive so far. The biggest question, for me, was what would be different under Atkinson.

In this early small sample the obvious thing is scoring. Way up from last yr and even historically has been outstanding. In NBA history the last 4 teams to average 125 ppg in their first five games made the finals.

Not saying the Cavs will based on this but as a team last yr that struggled with consistency and scoring they’ve gotten better. Also coaching adjustments during games and after the half seem to be much more impactful.

As far as the players go it seems like Garland, Mitchell and Mobley in particular have taken to the new coach as well. All 3 seem to be raising their level and finding efficient ways to play while being more aggressive.

This is all greatly encouraging for a still really young team. Strus has been absent due to injury and LeVert missed last nights game. To be 7-0 while not having depth at those spots makes it even more exciting.

Agree.

Consistency….injuries…..development(Evan, Dean, Jerome, etc) is stuff to watch

Cavs try to go to 12-0 tonight in Chicago. I think if they can stay reasonably healthy, they've got a shot to win it all this season. There, I said it.

And Evan Mobley absolutely abused Scottie Barnes. This could be the year when he reaches the all star level status we've been waiting for.

I think so. 14-0. Wow. It's championship or bust at this point.

15-0. Showdown with defending champ Celtics tomorrow. I know, no one here cares about the NBA. But the Cavs play the game the right way AND are a team full of extremely high character kids.

Cavs continue to play a diverse offense where 6-8 can be expected to score close to double digits with the leader being different every game.

Ty Jerome developing into a nice backup

I know no one cares, but the Cavs are now 23-4. It may be too early to be this definitive, but I think this year's NBA champion will be one of Cleveland, Boston, or OKC. These 3 teams seem to be at another level than the rest of the league.

It’s funny, I read CBS sports because I can’t stand espn and their power poll has had the Cavs in 1st since they started the streak. But for several weeks now it’s like they’ve been itching to move them down. Finally dropped them behind OKC in the last one.

A key to tell if this team is playing well is seeing how distributed the scoring is. During the winning streak they’d regularly have 6 scorers in double digits. In the few games they’ve struggled, it’s been heavy Garland or Mitchell scoring.
