Pain management
#16
When you go in the hospital to be treated and 6 ER visits and in pain management…. All paid by Medicare it’s hard to deny treatment that’s back by MRI, epidurals, scripts for pain

Other treatments are PT and epidurals.  There is nothing else and I’ve done those.

Great, I just asked because a number of my parent's friends are in Medicare-plus plans and have had trouble even getting MRI's for backpain, forced to go through six months of "rehab" and other treatments first. Others have had difficulty in shoulder work and knee surgeries, but I suppose we SHOULD try less invasive procedures first and go from there. In the end, for them, they thought it was a waste of their limit time on this planet.

Depends on quality of the supplemental plans.  There is no rehab for my neck.  The MRI shows 2 levels of injury.  It’s clear only surgery can fixed it.  The epidurals pin point exact level.  All MRI have always been approved.

It’s a serious condition.  I tried PT and it made it worse.

The insurance employs Dr to review all this.  My MRI looks bad.

No.  Pain management will.

Who pays the pain management clinic?  You?

Why do they ban patients who test positive for THC?

He would have to go out of state.  I highly doubt he wants to routinely do that in his condition.

Zig, if you don’t mind, you mentioned an accident/injury.  I missed a lot of this discussion in other threads.  What were the details of that?  I was just assuming you had a natural degenerative situation going on.

Edit: never mind I see you mentioned a childhood whiplash situation.

I see. Perhaps it's a state regulation???

FWIW, this source says that cocaine is "decriminalized" in North Carolina.

Which means the charge isn’t severe and carries fine, but still illegal.

Believe me this was made clear after the drug test.   They don’t want people on recreational drugs getting Dr to give them pain med
