He definitely expanded the government in a number of areas. He offered free health care to pregnant mothers, greatly expanded school breakfast and lunch programs, etc. Nothing he did was socialist.

I'm amazed people can't feed their own kids too.   I go in these places to eat and they have to close early because they can't find workers.   HELP WANTED SIGNS are up everywhere.  People don't want to work.  This is why immigrants legal and illegal are brought in and put to work.

Immigrants are brought into work because their expenses are likely subsidized by the host govt (read:  TAXPAYER) and they come cheaper than actual citizens that can no longer afford to pay rent, etc...  due to inflationary pressures such as HAVING MIGRANTS CONTRIBUTING TO A HOUSING SHORTAGE.  Supply/demand thingy on top of the already raging inflation.  

The left is a scourge on humanity.  It needs to be utterly annihilated.

I’ll answer.  The tax system is not socialist nor a communist program.  The USE of the revenue can be on socialist programs.  Communism is a political idea; a group that can implement economic programs or system like command economy or socialism that has govt and private ownership of means of production.

A progressive tax system is a Marxist tax system and most "working people" are subject to that.  Our tax system is overly complex and can provide opportunities for the wealthiest people to avoid high taxation.

The biggest problem with our tax system is about half the country pays no income tax and the majority of those live on a variety of welfare programs.  Therefore tax policy doesn't affect them and they will vote for taxing other people more.  They will continue to enjoy riding on the wagon while others pull it.
