I'm surprised this was the pick. He is very liberal, especially with government spending programs. I would have thought they wanted to balance out Kamala's liberal views with somebody more moderate.

On the other hand, I listened to a lengthy interview with him yesterday. He comes across as one of the most down-to-earth, red blooded American, sit down and have a beer with you type of person you will probably ever hear in politics.

I view this as a Tim Kaine type VP pick. A bland older white guy. Must be a thing with women at the top of the Dem ticket, they can’t pick a strong VP choice because it would surpass them.

While bland, he’s a full blown prog, so they definitely didn’t try to balance the ticket. I was worried she’d pick Mark Kelly

So we hear that Harris will select her VP candidate today and everyone in mainstream conservative media is saying that if it isn't Josh Shapiro, it is because he is Jewish.  I just heard Neo-con radio host Hugh Hewitt recite that multiple times.  Meanwhile, nearly every key position in the Biden/Harris government is held by a Jew.  Both of Biden's Chief's of Staff, who arguably runs the show, are Jewish.  What is the basis for conservative commentators creating that narrative?  Do they require the entire government be run by Jews or do they just recite the Jew victim narrative so often they can't think of anything else?
