This week at JCPS

Today's headlines on the disastrous local school system, which is a train wreck from top to bottom.  The first day of school there were five separate school bus wrecks after a mass hiring of new drivers.  Smile

JCPS investigating after adult boards school bus, pepper sprays student

Jefferson County Public Schools is investigating after officials said two adults boarded a JCPS school bus Wednesday morning, one of whom pepper sprayed a student.
A message was sent to parents of students at Carrithers Middle School on Wednesday. It was signed by Principal Jason Watts.
"This morning, two adults got onto Bus 1849 at one of our stops and at least one sprayed what is believed to be pepper spray at a student," Watts wrote.
Watts said officers with JCPS Police were called, and two students were treated by EMS at the school. No one was seriously injured, according to Watts.

Oh, it's always the same whether it be rapes, shootings, bringing firearms to school or the thousands of recorded "fights" each year or some angry mama dragging a helpless bus driver off the bus for a good beating.  But of course it has nothing to do with race.  That is just a coincidence. Rolleyes

It is mind blowing.  The first day of classes many students did not get home until 9-10 pm because of the insane busing program so they immediately closed the school system for a week to try and fix it.

And there is more ...  .  They don't need to be in schools.  They need to be in a zoo.

'It gets kind of normal' | JCPS freshman gets off bus and witnesses the chaos leading up to shooting

A student at Jefferson County Public Schools and an adult were shot after a fight broke out on a school bus Wednesday around 4:30 pm.
Eastern High School freshman Ciyana Carter had nearly made it home from school when the shooting happened.
More Coverage
"I won't really say it's not safe, because, you know, there's a lot of fights breaking out: weapons coming to school and just a lot in general," Ciyana said.
Video sent to WDRB shows a large group of people on 24th Street, yelling. Teens and adults then shift toward a sidewalk where the fighting intensifies.

"It's kind of crazy," Ciyana said. "But at the same time, you really think about our high school is just kind of like that. It's just always drama going around, someone's always fighting so it gets kind of normal at one point."
One woman's shirt is pulled off, another person hits someone else with a shoe.
Video shows another woman holding a brick.
Then, another gets chased with what appears to be a long stick or piece of wood.
"I don't know, like, it escalated very quickly, and it really shouldn't have been all that," Ciyana said.
That's when someone pulled a gun. The video recorded three gunshots.
"Afterwards, when the shooting started happening, everybody, like, ran home and stuff like that and tried to get away," Ciyana said.
One JCPS student and one adult were shot. They are now recovering at UofL Hospital.
For Ciyana's dad, Melvin Carter, violent acts like this are happening far too often near his daughter.

"Some of these parents need to pay more attention to the kids," he said. "Before they let them out the door and let them go do something else."
Earlier this week, a student pulled out a steak knife during a fight at Eastern High School.
"It's crazy," Melvin said. "It's sad too."

I didn't know making a Big Mac was part of the job description of the transportation director. That seems odd.

Damn rookies …….don’t know how to fight.

Back in my day at Westland High School, if you weren’t fightin’ yer losin’. It was so bad that in my senior year the district banned any activity between Westland and Grove City HS until the kids in kindergarten at the time graduated from HS. This meant not just football games but chess club and debate team.

So, the first year back in ‘89. Sure enough my HS maintained its reputation where we lose on the field but we kick yer azz in the parking lot. So they did another 12 year ban. And in the early 2000’s, same thing.

You can ask keener or others to confirm. They’re all too aware of our farmboys and rednecks. Kick ass and take names later.

How many shootings, rapes, and stabbings did they have in those schools?  Last year JCPS recorded "thousands" of fights.  It is a zoo.  There is nothing like it.  This is why our ancestors insisted on segregation.  It was not to punish blacks. It was to protect civilization and maintain order.

Possibly not as many, I know a buddy of mine who saved me from a beating when I was a freshman killed one of the dudes about a year later when he was 16. He only got manslaughter but we all knew he murdered the dude. Killing was off campus right after school.

Now this was back in the days when guys would have rifles in rifle racks in their pickup. And we ALL carried knives. In fact I still do. There were fights every day. Mostly between the the farm boys and the poor rednecks that lived in a suburb called South Lincoln Village.

Outside of school, kids would get in trouble near Hilltop and Sullivant Avenue. Great Western Shopping Center pretty much was devastated with violence. And years after it was shut down, the violence move to Westland Mall. And, to no one's surprise, it too eventually shut down.

So yeah, while it's not all bad, certain spots of the west side were, and are, not for the feint of heart.

And feel free to ask Keener or Blinky or others about the reputation of my HS and the general nature of the far West Side of Columbus.

Fight at Louisville high school results in several students, staff members pepper sprayed

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A fight during lunch at Butler High School on Wednesday resulted in "several students and two staff members" receiving treatment by EMS after being pepper sprayed.
In a letter sent to Butler families, Principal William Allen said a few students starting fighting during the school's first lunch period Wednesday. One student sprayed pepper spray into the crowd that had gathered around the fight.
"Several students and two staff members reported significant irritation in their eyes and throats, caused by the pepper spray in the air," Allen said in the letter to parents.

Louisville Metro EMS and Jefferson County Public Schools Police were called, and each of the students involved will be disciplined according to the district's Student Support and Behavior Intervention Handbook, Allen said.
"I’m disappointed that incidents like these can distract from the great teaching, learning and experiences that are taking place at our school during what has been a great start to our school year," Allen wrote in the letter to parents. "Please share our behavior expectations with your child and, as always, thank you for sharing your student with us and supporting Butler Traditional High School."

One of my sisters taught in an "inner" city school system and she was as liberal as Pitch, as she left to go to a better system, she was of the opinion that a third of the students had a chance IF you threw out the two-thirds. Truancy was the best friend of the school system and those other students. By trying to not to "Leave any student behind" you destroyed the lives of 95% of all students.

Here is the story about Butler High, not actually an inner city school, mentioned above that the media won't cover. JCPS is a large system of over 100k students.  They have 2 high schools that are supposed to be more "traditional" in terms of dress, behavior, academics, etc, one of those being Butler.  You have to apply to get in and in the beginning they only allowed the best and best behaved students.  That meant almost no blacks were admitted and the schools were excellent.  Of course they cried racism and the cuckolded school system started letting them in those two schools by lowering the standards.  They immediately complained about the dress code and behavior requirements and of course the school system gave in.  Now you have fights and drugs and other things you find in the rest of the schools. To borrow a phrase from a former world leader, blacks are a tuberculosis of race.

Why do you think the school unions didn’t want to go in person during covid?

Back around 1995 or 1996, my high school, which was FULL of lilly-white mormons, had a huge football rivalry with another high school.  Our students were forbidden from going to a local pizza place because the fights between the two schools' students happened so often.

Long story short, that year's football game, a home game for us, went about as expected with a HUGE fight on the outdoor basketball courts immediately after the game.  There were a couple of police units there, probably expecting something to go down. As I walked past one of the units, the cop is saying something along the lines of "I need more units at......".  So, minutes later, more cop cars pull up, one of them walks up with what looked like a shoulder-fired rocket launcher, only it launched tear gas or pepper spray.  He unloads a cloud of whatever it was on the the group and all fighting immediately stopped, because nobody could breathe or see.
