I just read a piece on LeBoob's school where no one in the 8th grade past a proficiency test in math. Not a single student. Only 9% of all students in any grade passed.

I just read a piece on LeBoob's school where no one in the 8th grade past a proficiency test in math. Not a single student. Only 9% of all students in any grade passed.

And many of them will still go to college.

Look into how much $ he actually put into the school. Almost nothing. He took credit for it all too. If he actually cared that school would have the best funding possible and the teachers would be top notch. The issue is nobody, minus a handful of parents regardless the ethnicity of the student, cares. Baltimore, NYC, and other schools have the same issues. NYC spends close to $35k USD per student and look at the poor scores. Baltimore spends close to $25k USD per student with the same results.

School choice and vouchers should be on the ballots but the unions keep them off for obvious reasons.

It was a “photo op”. Unfortunate, because as you say, he could’ve made a real difference and was in position to do it. 

I had a discussion on Facebook with a liberal about schools and their failures, and was whining about the issue being more money. I responded that more money wouldn’t fix the problem. I gave them stats on what the USA spends v other countries v the results.  They had the good grace to admit that they were surprised.

JCPS bus driver with drug conviction caused crash that broke Louisville woman's neck, lawsuit claims

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman suffered a broken neck, shoulder, forearm and pelvis in a crash with a school bus in the west end, and the bus driver's prior drug conviction slipped through the cracks when he was hired, a new lawsuit claims.
Kim Petty filed the lawsuit in Jefferson Circuit Court earlier this month, claiming the driver, Aaron Helton, should have never been hired by Jefferson County Public Schools.  

"Due to no fault of her own, (Petty) is living with permanent, catastrophic injuries," Bo Bolus, Petty's attorney, said Tuesday.  ...

I would say the chances are pretty good the bus driver is still using and should not be driving a school bus.  They don't care.  They still have a big shortage of drivers because the violent little savages they have to drive around scare good bus drivers away.  They are hiring the dregs.  Some of these bus drivers make about $100k a year for basically part time work.

(WDRB) -- A Louisville mother is suing Jefferson County Public Schools and her son's former principal, Duan Wright, claiming he threatened to kill her then 7-year-old and another second-grader in 2019 while pointing a gun at them.Wright, who has a history of abuse complaints against him, was principal of Harstern Elementary School at the time. Some investigative documents say the gun was a toy, while Wright has denied the incident.
