On social issues and foreign policy this is definitely true. Economically-not so much. Trump is pissed that evangelicals are refusing to chill out about abortion now that he got Roe overturned for them. He would prefer to see the issue pushed to the back burner, and realizes that it is going to be a hindrance for the GOP in swing states going forward.
That is a head scratcher seeing the voters in each state will decide abortion laws through election of state reps and senators.

I was listening to Megyn Kelly's podcast this morning and she made a good point, based on her experience leaving Fox, that I hadn't thought of - If Fox wanted Tucker to stay, like they wanted Megyn to stay, they would have allowed him a final "goodbye" show as Megyn was allowed to do.
